An Israeli player I know told me about this guy from Israel, who apparently trained Ronel Davidov. He has a monster forehand, similar to but more consistent than Davidov's, and he blocks passively with his backhand long pips. As you'll see in some of these videos, the level of spin reversal is insane to an extent that would be impossible with friction long pips. The player I know confirmed to me that the pips are, indeed, treated.

Anyway, here are two videos. I couldn't find them by searching in English, so I had Google translate turn "Avi Nizri table tennis" to Hebrew, resulting in this "טניס שולחן אבי ניזרי" (if someone knows Hebrew and can confirm it's an accurate translation, let me know) and then did that search, which yielded these videos:

It is an old video (2013), he could be using frictionless lp like Super Block. Those were banned like 2008 or something.

Those pips seem to have more spin reversal than Reflection . . Anyone who understands a little bit about how the curent pips work can quickly realise if a pip is treated or not .

The present-day pips are a million miles in performance from the pips we can see in the video , that's why it is so easy to find out that the guy in the video is not playing by the rules , which is fine except when you face him and lose easily .

They were using a celluloid ball, which produced more spin, so more reversal, need a plastic ball era video to see his current play.
