BH/RPB: Butterfly Sriver

A good match between Zhan Jian and Ma Long. Zhan is a very quick and equally good SP hitter.

I remember video links posted about him sometime way back. Since I just now ran into a YouTube match with him versus Ma Long I dug out those links from this thread viewtopic.php?f=13&t=5613 in the SP forum. I repost them here as it is nice to have a small repository for his matches for those who are interested.

Excellent video! Very nice forum feature, this video embedding!

No kidding about the quick reflex and footwork.

Xu Hui is one of the Penholder in National team. Most of them are in shakehand now. This match was the most exciting. Zhan Jian fullly showed the style of SP in FH.

Zhan Jian is playing for Singapore now and has attended the last 3 pro tour tournaments.

The full version of the above youtube and I think 2 other matches are on the ittf site.

I think he's got his wr inside the top 100 already but I was really hoping for top 40 or even top 20 based on some of the things he has done inside china. Maybe he can still get it done.

I also hoped that Zhan can reach top 20. It is difficult for his style. Zhan seemed to change his SP. He is not using 802-40 or Haifu. In his new SP, the shape around the logo is a straight line. I guess it is Moristo SP. But, professional seldom uses this one. Anyone know?
