Or he can't use his automatisms drilled into his FH when using frictionless, when he's far away from the table.

IMO his BH defence is a lot weaker than his FH attack.

Agreed, he does not look really comfy with BH chopping from distance and he does not have a natural chopping technique.

yes...both...imo he should decide whether he want to be a defender for real, like YSH, and then play with some chopping rubber with sponge, or close to the table with FAnti...

i would love to see him with anti because we dont have any fanti players on that level...

as for me he should play more like sun jian fei
a little bit farther from table

vs Duda he didnt have any wincondition stroke neither from bh or fh
chops often landed too high or off table
fh attacks didnt have enough power to pass Duda's block

Haven'g really kept track but noticed Fabian made his comeback about a week ago after a longer injury, he didn't play most of last season. He pulverised Eric Jouti in the only match he played which is no laughing matter, kinda surprised by that to be honest.

Saw a picture from the match and he still plays Clipper, probably still DG as well.

Last time I watched him play he was in a very poor shape. And now .. wow, what a surprise.

I really like all the changes in his game, too. He's become more of a chopper, very aggressive, nice crisp forehand, decent looking chops. I am pretty sure he lost some weight too, he moves very well. He puts tough balls back on the table, counters, etc.

According to Japsko Fabian is now using the lp Death metal in 0.5 mm on BH and Victas V-15 Extra on FH.
