I have just discovered this video. This World Championship was the first one I watched on TV. Many great TT players there; some of them have passed away. In the same youtube channel, there is the 1977 championship and other interesting old non-TT videos worth watching.

Kjell Johansson, Xi Enting, and Zhang Li have passed away.

SKY TOSS, WORTH SEEING..

YEA, Xu Shaofa hight toss serving , some nightmare to all non-chineses.
5-meter tossing up to the sky, devilish spin at impact. 5-meter toss, a crazy trick, indeed.

Many great players in the video. How many do you recognize? :)

I recognise plenty, and if anyone wants to identify any, I have the results programme so I can look up players' numbers to see who they are.
Some great favourites of mine in there - Hasegawa, Stellan, Surbek, Kohno, Alexandru etc etc.

It doesn't show the very end of the MS Final where the late great Kjell Johansson was denied the World Championship by two edge balls....

That's great if you have the player numbers. #62 would be Zhang Li? What about Hu Yulan? She was a defensive player who later turned offensive, but I don't know what style she was playing in that tournament. Would she be #60? I see Klampar there and I assume the other one was Jonyer.

I saw the Men's final then, but not the Women's. Yes, luck was not on Johansson's side. I still think he should have won.
