Beautiful style to watch! Thanks for the video.
Here is another video of Koji M, this time playing Wei Qingguang (World and Olympics doubles champion, later moved to Japan).

(need to remove the s from https carbo)

yeah, I absolutely love that clip too. I love Timo's reaction at the end, the raised eyebrow, like... "err, well played, I have absolutely no idea how to put the ball past you"

Boll looks like a genuinely nice guy and a great sport.

Couldn't agree more. He's such a brilliant advocate for the sport. I love that mega long rally he has with Gacina where Gacina is all over the place, running backwards and forwards... Timo celebrates but then goes over to him to pat him on the back and say well done. Awesome stuff.

I just watched some of these videos again... amazing entertainment... don't know if we still have players like this these days...

He's one of a kind imo. There's similarities in Shiono's game but Koji was just at another level. He was basically my childhood "hero" and the only player that I really looked up to, he was a big influence when I started out with LP.

Agreed, he's just the best. 38mm ball, doesn't matter to me, pound for pound the best chopper ever. Especially style-wise.

Well,

I miss His pirouettes. I dont know other player that use it other than Him. :)

Even then, as a prerequisite,

Shiono and Chtchetinine is the only current player I know that does BH chop with back facing the table, like old chopper back then (Ding Song, Chen Xinhua, Takashima Norio, Matsushita Koji)

Most chopper now follow Joo Se Hyuk style, wide stance, front of body.
