For an allround play, not much deception. All the things you can do are just average.
Disappointed for me. Because Hellfire, the long pip, was very good and promising. In the Medium pips from Sauer undTtroger there is work to do. Armstrong attack 3 is much better in every aspect and disruptive.

wow thank you BJ20.

What is the blade you are playing these MP ? It looks like you play a lot with MP. Specially new Mp. Why only the new ones ? Background as a TT player and rating will help.

If you can refer other to this blog it will be great.

Good all around MP. small Pimples, Can do hits own underspin on push. Good control overall. Can produce float and underspin on classic chop. Counter and block are ok but not dangerous as too slow Would be good with placement and variation on shot.

so Distortion: 3 block 6 drive 6 defense 8 Overal LP/SP: 4.5 all around

Neubauer agressor 1.3 mm ( play with neubauer powerwall plus 64 gram)
1-Speed : 7.5
2-Control: 8.5
3-short game: 7.5
4-long game: 8
5-own underspin: 6

12-knuckle ball : 5 ( still need to be verified)
13-push: 7.5
14-classic chop : 8
15-throw angle : low

Very god mp for variations and distortion. Long pimples 1.65 mm and big diameter 2.10mm. hard sponge 45 degree. The big and very long pimples can be played with no bending pimples or bending pimples thus changing the spin and speed on the ball. Never feel to hit the bottom of the blade. In learning process but can create tons of variations. Good control on counter against fast topspin and underspin. Agressive shot can be made using the bending of the pimple. Fast or slow shot can be made. Any agressive type of players ( defense or offense will find this rubber quite good. Feel secure to step back and chop back to secure the play to then go back at the table.

so Distortion: 8.5 block 8 drive 8.5 defense 8 Overal LP/SP: 5.5 offense

Shockwave 1.5 mm ( played with Victas koji Matsushita offensive defense, 95 gram.)

1-Speed : 8
2-Control: 9
3-short game: 7
4-long game: 6
5-own underspin: 7
6-own topspin: 7.5
7-reversal: 4.5
8-distortion: 4
9-block : 7
10-attack: 8.5
11-defense: 7
10-flat hit: 8
11-float: 8
12-knuckle ball : 7
13-push: 7.5
14-classic chop : 5
15- Trow angle: medium

Only play 2 hours with it. A regular pimple and diameter. Goes more on the SP side. Sponge at 35 degree and more springy. A closer angle need to be done on the attacking stroke. The speed of this pimples help to create spin.
Push, attack and placement is its bread and butter. Chop like an sp. Good side chop keep the ball lower. Distortion is absent except for fast counter that created heavy knuckle ball that make the ball fall shorter. Opponant are more use to this type of shot that look a lot like inverted rubber.

so Distortion: 4 block 7 drive 8.75 defense 5 Overal LP/SP: 7.5 offense

So I added the overall score of the rubber for what is tend to go toward. LP defense 1 to SP offensive 10 caracteristics with a score and the style of play. So 4.0 offensive would be a LP like rubber made for offense. ( the rubber will be good for offense but more like LP shot. A 9 offensive will be rubber with have more SP caracteristics with a lot of speed and attack. A 5 offensive will be both LP and SP caracteristics with offensive style like an LP and SP ( All around) Play distortion, reversal change speed, block and good defense.

Waiting for your comment and rating on MP you tried.

I think the performance of a rubber very much depends on the blade we use , so these ratings are just a tiny part of the reality. If people use the same type of blade( I mean similar features ) as we have tested, then, chances are the information is more credible .

My views on K.O 1,3 mm on Sword 309 :

1-Speed : 6.5
2-Control: 9
3-short game: 7
4-long game: 8
5-own underspin: 6
6-own topspin: 5
7-reversal: 7.5
8-distortion: 8.5
9-block : 8.5

10-flat hit: 7
11-float: 8
12-push: 7
14-classic chop : 7.5
15-throw angle : low

Very good mp for a disruptive game close to the table .

Hope this helps.

Nittaku Pimple Slide 1.4 mm on Sword 309 :

1-Speed : 5.5
2-Control: 9
3-short game: 6
4-long game: 6
5-own underspin: 7
6-own topspin: 5.5
7-reversal: 4
8-disruption: 4
9-block : 7
10-attack: 6
11-defense: 6
10-flat hit: 6
11-float: 8
13-push: 6
14-classic chop : 6

Fun rubber to play with.Disruption route? not ok in my opinion.Control and just place balls in , great!!, dead balls, wobble effect due to small thin pips that bend on impact.Very soft sponge 20º according to the manufacturer.Overpriced in my opinion!!.You can add spin but it is also sensitive to it.Not suitable to hit underspin, attacks on the fh are possible but harmless unless you have a strong arm .

KO plays similar to ungrippy LP. It's biggest weakness is the weight...Cut sheet weights 46g, which as heavy or heavier than inverted. :( KO is easy to play both at the table and in long defence. In off the bounce blocks or attacks the angle is touchy and results in netted balls more than with LP. KO is best for passive play, as the attacks are too harmless and too difficult to produce consistently. KO might be more dangerous with faster blade(?). KO has no problems against empty balls and only little problems against heavy spin. Serve returns are good.

Blade is Donic Waldner Senso Ultra Carbon, Off-
Speed 8.5
Control 8.5
Stiffness 5.5
Hardness 5.5

Played inverted 5 years ago, then started with SP but wanted more deception with MP.
Used LP and anti also just to try, but i'm an attacker (hit/block/open) on BH side (+FH looper). So I stayed with MP.
MP for me on BH mostly for passive or active block, opening backspin. Only in emerged situation I wanted a good chop possibility.
Also want deception  And balls that 'skids'
I love to try MP, It became a hobby, sometimes expensive

Do not know how to rate myself as a tabletennis player.
Because each country has its own rating system
If you have Beginner 1, Beginner 2, Intermediate 1, Intermediate 2, Pro, Pro 2, World Class
I'm at least Intermediate 2 I think
Do not know how to compare my rating in my country with an other country :(

Maybe I can review also:
- Spinlord Keiler
- Armstrong attack 3
- Dr Neubauer Killer (Listed as SP but definitely MP)

Hope we can also review MP
- Giant dragon 612
- KO PRO
- RITC 563-1 / 563
- Killer Pro
- Dr Neubauer Diamant

Hopefully you can make a good summary from al the info of the MP :)

If you can read spin and use the rubber to place the ball and add variety it behaves very similar to pimplemini. It also has small, skinny, soft and well spaced out pips. The key with this rubber is placement .Deception is possible because you can play with spin attacking and defending .

People who base the tactics on disruption and dangerous blocks should find NITTAKU Pimple Slide useless . Service return is not as safe as K.O or Aggressor ,however, it is a fun rubber to play with. Great control, placement of the ball is beautiful BUT the balls for your opponent are so " naive" .

thannk you 1dennistt.

If you have other MPs to rate don't hesitate. It would be fun to have older MP like the Diamant and Dawei rated so we can compare them to the new MPs that went out since 1 year or two. It would give us a tendancy of the MP devellopment.

Anyone to rate them as above ?????

I did 3 hrs of training with the agressor 1,5 mm . Usually I use the 1,3 mm. The difference is quite important even if it's only ,20 mm difference.

The control and the speed is increased. The pushes look more like sp with good topspin and knukle ball effect.

The short defense at the table s less present. Chop block or passive block with reversal is dissappearing. The 1,3 mm can do fantastic float on counter top spin. Now very difficult to do as it is too fast. Will tyr to go further from the table to do it. I'm still questionning myself about the classic chop. You can create your own spin more. The chop is little bit more horizontal and due to the speed the difference between underspin and float ball look more similar thus creating confusion to the opponant. With the faster pace it happen often that the ball pushed by opponant against a chop is sent outside the end of the table or create high ball to attck with FH then.

When you go into more speed and more attack mode the rubber is better but less woobling so it is a bit easier to counter it. But the speed make the diffference and with the good control you can place the ball better and moove faster on the FH side. The knuckle ball are better thus creating a variety of lengh and spin at a fast pace. Those shot with good control will be very diffcult to counter.

You will be able to see the difference on the rating board that you should have in a couple of hours. I hope.

Interesting in that I am finding similar differences between Keiler 1.2mm and Keiler 1.5mm.

The 1.5mm is very much an offensive rubber and not great for chops or chop blocks whilst the 1.2mm is better in the short game and for chopping, still fast and good for blocking topspin and lifting back spin, but not great for creating top spin.

I put the difference down to the fact that Keiler like Aggressor has a tension sponge which really comes into play on the 1.5mm and 1.8mm and not so much on 1.2mm.

Hi,

Today I played first time with 1,8mm Keiler and I find it easier to play with better players than with 1,5mm. Games were more like speed and topspin. Then I played with weaker players who pushed and make no spin balls to my backhand and I noticed it was difficult to play. Short game was very difficult with 1,8mm. Still I start practise with this 1,8mm. Any tips for no spin serves and strokes to my backhand?

Soba
