Recently I received a couple or Curl P-2 pips, one 1.7 mm sponge and the other OX. The use of pips here here I play is very limited and I have many questions, which is the difference between 1.7 and OX? what kind of play style is better for every one? How they behave in an offensive blade?

Use the ox for close to the table regular blocks, chop blocks, and quick attacks vs backspin.
Use the 1.7 more like a regular short-pip rubber. You can play off the table more than with ox and it will allow you to counter drive with less spin than short pips.
