I think the Def II FH attacks best with soft sponge. I looked at Justas's FH rubber, its its also very soft. As for BH long pips, 0X works fine on mine for chopping and blocking, and in time I hope to be able to hit with my pips as well.

Luckily I don't have one of your expensive blades to try...

If anyone wants to sell their old Defence II, I'd be interested in another for a backup if the price is right. Its ok if its nicked up a bit on the edges as long as its solid.

Man Today i have a hit with my New Defense II That i trade with SuperHappyFunSlide for my MatProAlpha.
I Am REal in Love with this blade.
I Have so much control with it.
BH Chops using P1r 1.0 is super Heavy , controled and slow.
FH Attacks With T64 2.1 have a lot of control , a very good speed, and good spin.

Very Good Start for me... I Will Play With it later this week, and in the weekend i have a tornament.
So i can say more about The blade next week.

I would cut it down to about 159x151. That way it won't be too head-heavy. Also thin double inverted, maybe around 1.5-1.9.

Personally for me it depends on the rubbers. I've tried some different rubbers on defence II over few months..
Blocking is best with thin and soft sponge rubbers, that don't have big initial catapult.. Speed of the rubber made no difference to me, it blocks well with fast rubbers too.
Personally for me best feeling was with 1,7mm sponge. Rubbers that I liked were: Andro Hexer Powersponge, Tenergy 05FX, Tenergy 64FX. I bet there are more soft good rubbers out there that you would like.
Have in mind that I'm not blocking passively.. I always make a short, fast, firm movement forward. This helps to keep the ball on the table and returns are fast
