I often wonder when a particular blade is hard to find, whether it's discontinued, or some of the dealers have just stopped carrying them.
Some manufacturers, like Donic, actually publish a regular list of blades that are discontinued.

I propose we compile a list, sorted by brands, of the blades that we know are discontinued here.
If you know of any discontinued blades not on the list, please post them here so that I can add them to the list

Very useful I'd say as discontinued blades can still be used in matches, unlike discontinued rubbers.

I'll make a start:

Galaxy/yinhe t10: replaced by t10+ which is a7 ply blade, this change came completely unannounced and many sellers shipped out the t10+ thinking they sent out the regular t10.
Galaxy/yinhe t11: replaced by t11+ with different plies, this change came completely unannounced and many sellers shipped out the t11+ thinking they sent out the regular t11.
Tibhar co-s3: replaced with a different shape blade and I think even different plies
tsp balsa def series: replaced with new handle and print, not sure if the new ones play the same. Anyone have more info on this?
butterfly Matsushita power defence: seems to be discontinued but still available here and there
giant dragon balsa def: not in stock anywhere it seems
donic dotec waldner hinoki: friend of mine wants to buy one but apparently not available anymore. If anyone has one available please let me know
Giant dragon super balsa 2: not in stock anywhere it seems
Yasaka sweeper: not discontinued but limited availability
Butterfly shibutani pro: people started looking for this blade after shiono won the Japan open but it was found to be discontinued

Thank you guys!   I've added them all to the list in the first post, as well as all the Donic ones that I found records off.

Elvis56: good idea to add additional notes, like alternative if we have them.
Yes Giant Dragon has discontinued a wide range of their blades. :(

Pipsy: Not sure about the Cutlass... I just know they're still available here, but it could be old stock.

I've just heard that Dr N Gladiator is also discontinued. I've never used it myself, so I don't know how good it was, but I guess it didn't sell well.

Not sure if these are factory discontinued or just rarely found.

Butterfly Maze Passion (red handle - fiberlgass layers- a very smooth medium speed blade IMO )
Joola Tactics (large flexible chopping blade -two black cloth (not carbon) layers - very versatile IMO)

Don't know why you think Donic Bloodwood 5 and Senso 7 is discontinued. On the official Donic Germany Homepage, you can still buy them

http://www.donic.de/index.php?screen=dstore.webshop.productlist&TreeNodeID=2&Description=Hoelzer&sid=1
http://www.cms.donic.de/cms/en/2012-09-10-16-27-17/donic-bloodwood-series.html

Same for Artox, Artox RS and Carbotox.

Discontued for Example:

Donic Opticon and Donic Opticon RS, at least for Germany

Kind Regards

Because Donic sends a list to dealers of the blades they're discontinuing, and these were on this list. Those listed on the website must be remaining stock levels.

Thanks everyone, list updated!

Wow, great list. For Butterfly, is this an official list of all blades discontiued by Butterfly? Is it exhaustive?

Concerning defensive blades: aren't Butterfly Defence Alpha & Butterfly Matsushita Pro Alpha also discontinued?
