Blade: Donic Waldner Senso V1
FH: Donic Baracuda Big Slam
BH: Victas Triple Regular
I like the Donic Appelgren AN but not so much the Yasaka Extra. Seems to stick out a bit more at the end.

I've tried Butterfly Jonyer Hinoki, Petr Korbel, Korbel SK7, Timo Boll Spirit, Kong Ling Hui Special; Stiga Offensive Classic; Avallo P700; Yinhe Z7; a couple of Sword. That's 10 so far from four brands, that I can remember...

As far as Conic vs ST, I like ST better. Having a bit of squarish shape help with the grip for me compared to all round of the conic.

As for me FL handles in general are blocking wrist flexibility and are good only for FH power play. I think it is bad idea to play FL handle for any close-to-the-table style.

I am not a defender (!!) and never twiddle (I use same fast inverted rubber on both sides). I also played my whole life with FL. A few months ago I switched to ST because it improves my FH to BH transitions. Once I got used to the feeling that the blade would fly out of my hand (trust me, it never will) I found many improvements for me personally. It really let me relax my wrist a little which for me is a good thing. In fact exactly what Dunc just said.

ST handles can be kind of square (like Timo Boll or Made blades and increasingly the default form Btfly uses) or they can be more round or oval (like some older classic Waldner blades and still found on a lot of Tibhar and Donic blades). That turns out to be an important distinction and in my opinion it is as big as the difference between ST and FL. I discovered I prefer round or oval ones by a huge margin. In fact I would prefer a FL to a square ST. Donic still has very comfortable ST handles.

Handle shape turns out to have a big impact for me.

Not many conic handles to find.
One manufacturer that deliver conic handles to most of their blades is OSP.

https://ospblades.com/

Anyone that are using the handmade blades from OSP?

Most Chinese blades have handles that are flared - the exceptions being the ones designed specifically for defensive play (e.g. LKT Toxic 3). European (and some Japanese) blades are often available with more options. Yeah, I've not seen a conic handle in years! They weren't common even back in the 1970s.
