XVT Black Knight 7 blade.
Speed 9.1, Control 9.2, Stiff 6.3, Hard 6.2, 82g 5 x wood, 2 x carbon
Reviews and rubber recommendations please.

I wouldn't buy it unless you're EJing and testing. It seems you already got a better blade.

Why wouldn't you buy it? Any particular reasons?
What do you mean by EJing?

I may have a better blade, but the grass is always greener the other side.
Not actually of course, I felt that I have gone the limits with my W6 and with my inability to improve my physical attributes, I thought I'll explore some better equipment as an alternative.
Unfortunately I don't want to spend loads buying 5 to 6 blades to test and try. The blades may be affordable but slapping on 2 pieces on rubber on them would make them too costly.

Emphasis mine - and this pretty much sums up EJ (Equipment Junkie) mindset :)

IF you want to try it (presumably because it has carbon) - no one can stop you, I did this myself in the past, so it's worth something just for frist hand experience. It's cheap. Not sure many people played with it, so don't expect deep analysis of its performance.

Yes, I could not find much analysis on it - that why I turned to this forum just to generate some more discussion/inputs.

I consider XVT to be one of these 'fashion' producers with nice looking products and powerful namings. I see questionable quality and a layer construction that lets me scratch my head. Some of their products may actually be useable but I doubt it happened on purpose.

I've played quite a bit with this blade.. Here're my thoughts ..

It's fast, stiff and hard .. It's fairly light-weight .. very little or no vibrations .. However, it has surprising good control .. I found it quite nice, even for over-the-table pushing .. The blade excels at flat-hits, and blocks.. However, it's better at active blocking, rather than passive, on the BH side .. Top-spins are really speedy, but some may find that they lack spin (Probably due to lower dwell) .. Good penetrative capabilities, though .. Top spinning May require some technique adjustment.. I'm right-handed, and for some reason, with this blade I found it easier (compared to other blades) to FH topspin, frrm my BH into across the table, into a Right-handed opponents BH .. or even easier to hit a faded top-spin .

The blade has a slightly smaller-than-average head size. Also a smaller-than-average handle straight handle size.. Also, there are manufacturing inconsistencies with this blade. This is very typical of a lot of Chinese Manufacturers

All-in-all, a lovely blade, with a superb price:performance ratio.
