Blade: Yinhe V14 Pro
FH: Harder Chinese rubber
BH: Softer Chinese/ESN rubber
My experience with Black & White was very short and unfortunate - the blade broke near the handle the next day after I received it.
I've only played for like 5 hours with it. I didn't hit the table nor did I drop or throw it.

Today I tried my B&W briefly with a well used Der Materialspezialist Reflection 1,5 mm on BH and Xiom Omega VII Euro on FH. FH was very nice and controlled but still enough power when I put some force behind the stroke. But this blade was not for blocking with frictiobless anti close to the table. Almost no spin reversal compared to my normal setup and the ball leaved the bat with a clearly higher throw. But I will now put my new sheet of MP Power Pipes on it, I think that will be a great match :). But it will take some time before I can evaluate more thoroughly. I will have to focus on my main setup the next weeks.

Really look forward to your findings on that combination as I have used the B&W for a few months now with various short/medium pimples and am tempted to try Power Pipes

What you will find is that the B&W with it control orientated BH side with soft Limba outer plies is great for controlled attack especially against back spin. although not fast it allows very accurate placement.

Where did you buy it from? That's a very short life for a blade :(

I bought it on tt11 (it was on sale, remember? ;)

Yes, this was the first time for me that a blade broke so quickly!
I wonder if I should try complaining to tt11 or S&T...

I would complain - politely but firmly: blades should not break after 5 hours of normal play time. Something like this would make me a LOT less likely to buy S&T stuff in the future.

Agreed! There must have been a hidden crack in the blade. I got mine from the same place, looks fine so far...

I've sent an email to tt11, will see...
Hope yours will serve you better than mine did. :D

A friend broke a Firewall plus in the same place the other day clashing blades in doubles, but that blade is basically just balsa plus a thin wood ply. The B&W on the other hand has a balsa core with then a carbon layer and two wood layers on each side so should be quite strong.

tt11 were very kind and immediately refunded my expenses. Credits to them for the great service!

Hi Guys,
My blade has now cracked in a similar area to ziv’s and is unusable. Really irritating. Used it from September to mid November and then through January.

I still think I am entitled to a refund.

What do you all think?

That's like ~4 months of use - obviously much less than you expected, but long enough for manufacturer/retailer to suspect that something unusual happened, e.g it was dropped or stepped on.

Blades don't come with warranty, I think, but a lot of warranties these days are around 30 days or may be 90.

That's a long way of saying that you are in a gray area as far as asking for refund, IMHO. What I start to believe, though, is that at least this specific blade has issues, or perhaps S&T as a whole is not paying enough attention to QC.

Sorry to hear this! Looks like S&T are having some quality issues.

Where did you purchase yours? I'd say try writing to the vendor and explaining the situation.

I have had a negative response so they have lost a valuable customer and I will be very wary of buying another Balsa blade.
Stuck now with a vital match tomorrow night.
Hastily arranged fixture this evening to reacquaint myself with a long forgotten set up!
Three tough opponents tonight so hard earned ranking points are certain to be squandered.
