I have one of these, with 729 Bloom Power and Bloom Spin. I like it a lot in practice, but haven't played any matches with it yet. I need more experience with it, possibly with different rubber. What I can say is that it feels very good, has a lot of control, and is somewhere on the slightly faster-than-all-round side. But not much, probably the rubber would be more of a determinant of the speed. I'd recommend it to any beginner, and it may have the potential to stay with a player through a lot more than the beginner stages.

I should point out that I normally play a DHS 301 which is alc inner with koto outer, so bear that in mind in my impression of the speed of the Dicon.
