I've got the original Septear. I wonder how this would differ from that - the name suggests it's heavier.

At the time I bought mine, all the reviews gave me the impression that this was a thundering fast blade - I found that not to be the case, though it certainly wasn't slow. This was the time I bought several 7 ply all-hinoki blades.
