Hi, I bought and received my Sword Subdue blade. It is a 9-ply constructed hybrid blade with one side is suitable for pips and other side is for attacking. Before applying the rubbers I wanted to know if anyone tried it and the blade is really suitable for long pips on the slower side and good for attacking on fast side. Is it more suitable for ox pips or also applicable with long pips with sponge for classical defense ?

I have 3 sword yokohama yue blades and one yokohama yue 2 blade and use LP in OX. I am interested in how this blade blades. I think the yokohama yue series is excellent, but not a pure chopping blade, although I chop with it a lot.
Let us know what you think about the subdue blade and what rubbers you are using on it.

I played ten years with the Subdue, BH Xiying ox, FH T88-1. Ideal blade for aggressive blocking and disturbung play. Very stiff blade with low trajectory. Not so good for chopping away from the table.
Speed range between all+ and off, depends on weight. The anounced difference between VH/BH is neglegible and non existant.

Well, I tried the blade couple of times. I will write a detailed review, but in brief I can say the blade is nice flexible and nice on backhand blocks, on the faster fh side you can loop and spin the ball, the speed looks to be on range either off- or all+, on slower bh blocks are straight and not high.

Anybody know anything about Sword SS Thunderbolt blade? I have a Thunderbolt SS-6000 and SS-8000. Are they any good?

Looking forward to your review. The question I have-will you keep using it? Why or why not?

I am currently on vacation, hopefully when I return I will write the detailed review with pictures, I tried 2 different ox pips with the blade and I may try a third one too(which is also different) so I can understand which type of long pips player can use this blade.
