I don't think this'd be much of an issue though. Even if you knick one of the corners, it shouldn't impact playing performance all that much (just like a normal blade)

Yeah, but you'll get Pong-Karens like Igor telling you you can't use the racket because you've slightly damaged the corner of the rubber.

Interesting, but one of the corners is right where the blade usually hits the table on forehand returns. Seems like a weak point and you would need rubber overhang to protect the corners. At least you don't need much edge tap on this.

I vaguely remembered this post and felt the need to come comment: I found this to be pretty true in day one of Cybershape use. I had a corner meet table edge on a service misfire, rather than on a push, but the outcome was still damage. Not meaningful damage, but certainly damage that I haven't had happen on similar occurrences with normal blades.

--------------------------------------------------

In one day of play, which amounts to two and a half hours of practice, four league matches, and two bonus matches - I'm pretty pleased with this overall. I play with a Seemiller grip and I find that the corners make the transition feel really really good, and that simple stability in a smaller hand like mine seems to make my backhand much cleaner out of the gate. Coach also commented on how good the shape was for the grip and how natural it felt in his hand when he was looking it over.

It's fast, probably faster than I need right now, though I find that it not being forgiving on some of my weaker pips strokes is a positive, because on active play it felt very very rewarding. More play to come for sure, with Tibhar K3 in red and Dornenglanz in black.

Ah and yes, I did have more trouble cutting this nicely than I have with other blades in the past, if I had smaller purpose built scissors it likely wouldn't have been though!

LUXURY PLAUCEBO at USD220, IMPOSED ON PEOPLE by STIGA.
A placebo (/pləˈsiːboʊ/ plə-SEE-boh) is a sham substance or therapy which is designed to have no known therapeutic value.

In 1985, Irving Kirsch hypothesized that placebo effects are produced by the self-fulfilling effects of response expectancies, in which the belief that one will feel different leads a person to actually feel different.[65] According to this theory, the belief that one has received an active treatment can produce subjective changes to better feelings of one's body selfbeing.

I took the dimensions and cut one of my Firewall Plus blades to them. I LOST lots of hitting surface. I see not the advantage claimed.
