Blade: SDC Viscaria
FH: Rakza Z EH max
BH: ABS 3 Spinlab Pink Sponge
I have a player in my club who has problems with eyesight and wants a bigger blade to make up for it.

Is there a good (cheap) al wood blade with bigger headsize? Mist I see are defensive blades, but I'm scared they will be too slow.

Cheers,
Pieter

With poor eyesight I would suggest a composite type blade, so the sweetspot covers as much of the blade face as possible, otherwise why bother right?

However, adding composite does mean the base speed increases to at least OFF- level. So you would have to pair with tacky, hybrid, thinner or soft sponge rubber to slow/lighten the setup depending on your player’s preference(s).

A cheap OFF- attacking blade would be:

Donic Baum Esprit / Donic Esprit
Headsize 160x152

To keep with all wood, perhaps Stiga Cybershape Wood version?

Shipping cost may rule out Gambler blade.
