I played with this blade a couple of years agoo.Nice and balanced litle bit stiffer c'os 3 carbon layers but its a lot slower then wavestone.
Doc 20 is more for close to table topspin and hitting play.
Wery good quality and nice looking.

Come on folks, someone has to have tried it! It's not nice of you to refuse to comment simple to force me to buy the blade and review it

Perhaps someone, even if they haven't tried it can explain what difference their is to expect from a 7 ply blade (DC 20) and a 5 ply blade (Wavestone) in more general terms?

I put some coments already  Or you dont like it

LOL, you guys have to stop 'cross-posting'

From just bouncing a ball on it, it feels pretty fast to me, at least as fast as the wavestone, although I don't have one next to it to compare o i'm going by memory... Feels is not that hard for a triple carbon blade, but it does feel quite stiff...

Crosr posting LOL   Dc 20 felt stif with softer feel. Maybe rubbers that I use at that time were slower so over all with rubbers felt slower.

purger, stop confusing me! The shop says the blade is a DC 20 but you insist on writing Doc 20! So which is it, DC or Doc?

I must say that its tempting to try this blade out, all though Haggisv informed it wasn't very head heavy, as I wished it would be. Since the handle is hollow, I can't drill a whole to change the balance, any other suggestions on how I could move the balance forward?

Would also love some serious EJ-input on the 5 vs 7 ply...

Sorry Speedplay  its as you seen in shop DC-20

To get more weight on top you can simpley put 3-4 adge tapes around and get more weight thats wat I have done with Andro Blax blade when I used thin sponges and felt light as well you can buye edge tape that is havier for ading weight to the blade.I think butterfly sells them maibe even dandoy-sports to,have a look

I thought you were going to get Chinese rubber to go with it? That'll probably tip the balance forward. :)

Purger I've tried Bty edge weighting tape and the problem with it is it is really soft. A slight bump on the table with the edge and it splits and your edge tape over it cuts as well. So it leaves your bat looking ugly

Hello, its me, your master, speaking! I need some help with this decision and I need it now!

If no one has tried them both, then perhaps Haggisv can form an opinion on them and tell which one he feel would be most similar to the Wavestone?
DC- 20.

I can lend you 2 x Roxon 450 and let you see if you like them.
Is that not cheap ?

Sorry master, I lost track of this thread (#^&^%&^% cookies!) I'll have to put them side by side to compare... I suspect the Matz might be faster, but not sure about the balance.

The DC-20 has a softer and springier feel, but is defitely slower than the Matz. The Matz feels more pingier. Handle of the Matz also feels a little thinner, and I don't thing there's a lot of difference in weight distribution. Matz seems a little lighter (85g vs 90g) but I'll hav to weigh a fw more to see if they're all like that....

Wavestone seems much much faster than DC20. Having just bounced the balls on the blades Id say the Wavestone is Off+ and the DC20 Off--. Big difference.
