I can't find any reviews on it, and I'm not sure if we've sold any either...

Would be a nice blade to play TSP Curl Bamboo. Not that I've any idea how bamboo plays but it sounds good.

Just out of interest, does anyone know if bamboo is technically wood as it is a grass and not a tree? How thick is this layer and would this make it illegal?

What is the definition of wood? My dictionary tells me it is 'a hard fibrous substance in the trunk and branches of a tree'.

What is bamboo? My dictionary tells me it is 'a giant tropical grass'.

This means it all comes down to the percentage of the thickness that is bamboo I would say.

(Just thought I would follow on from Speedplays illegal blade crusade)

I checked the blade by just bouching the ball on it, and it does seem to do what they describe it to do:

JUIC Bamboo Shot

Hahaha!!

I do, actually know that I'm resurrecting a mummy... :P

What prompted this?

Back in 2008 I bought and reviews another bamboo blade, the Butterfly Millerga as posted here: viewtopic.php?t=5126

A year or so later I sold the blade since I had so many others and this got neglected.
Some time last year I came across another used Millerga for sale (almost double the price of my initial purchase). I got nostalgic and bought it. Straight to the box it went.

Just last week I pulled it out and starting playing with it again and am excited again with this blade. I searched for my old review and read it again. And Voila! I saw the serial number on the initial review and the one I have now and it matched! The blade returned to me after so many years!

I'm searching for another Millerga with FL handle and during the search found out about Juic Bamboo, and here we are... :P :P

First time I've heard of the Millerga. From the colors of the handle, and the name, it seems vaguely Mexican.. I suppose since Butterfly's discontinued it they decided the bamboo concept didn't work, or it wasn't selling. Interesting also that it was made in China (how many Butterfly blades are made in China?).

Don't understand the part about the sharp bamboo fibers - I have some bamboo cutting boards from Daiso and haven't had any problems yet. (I was thinking of cutting a blade out of one - they're 6mm thick.. but concluded it'd be way too heavy.) Anyhow.. bamboo blades aren't uncommon any more, here's another one:

This one has a milled hardwood core, I think, like the other Inorganic Dragons.

Those Inorganic Carbon blades sure have nice looking handles, but they're a little too heavy for my liking.
