The Energy wood has that blue-ish layer, not quite sure what it is or even it's wood?

I'm interrested in Nittaku redshank composition. Outer ply (according to photos) looks very much like limba. There's 5 plies + 2 thin carbon. Anyone here knows more...?

What about Ma Lin Carbon?

Read somewhere that it is limba-???-carbon-ayous-carbon-???-limba. The second layer is some kind of medium-dark brown wood.

Does anybody know the composition of Yasaka Gatien Extra 3D..???

sorry... nothing so far...

I just sent off an email to Yasaka in Sweden and in Japan trying to get some detail on the Extra line. (Extra, 3d, and 3d SC)
I will post if they reply. I do know there is a cut in the handle on one or more of the plies:
Image

This makes me think this is Yasaka's version of WRB which I typically do not like very much. I do like Donic Dicon "micro" WRB cuts in the handle though.

Here is the manufacturers BS:
The 3D construction, giving more flexibility in the blade, helps to make the bat giving a ”catapult power” when hitting the ball.

The 3D is especially suitable for players who want more power and speed in the top spin drives without loosing the feeling and control in short receives and blocking

Top ply leads me to think of limba. Clueless on the middle and central plies, though.

Yuzuki, I agree with you, I´m sure (99%) that top ply of Ma Wenge is limba.
Also I suppose that core of J-Aramid is Kiri.

Central ply of Ma Wenge looks familiar, lemme dig something up for it.

Wow, great list, thanks ZoranV!

In noticed they have samba wood in many of their blades, which i had not heard of, so I looked it up:

African tree with splinter less wood used for veneer plywood and sauna interiors.

Official name: Obeche
Latin name: Triplochiton scleroxylon
Family: Sterculiaceae
Common names: Abachi wood, Obeche wood, African maple wood, Samba wood, Ayous wood.

Still I thought Abachi and Ayous were quite different... different colours for one thing???
