Does somebody know the composition of the Avalox J-Power? The top-ply seems to be Hinoki but what´s about the other plies.

Yes the top ply is definitely Kiso Hinoki... I don't think the inner plies are though, but I can't identify them :(

Someone sent this to me. I have not checked it, but they said it was a new blade from Xiom with this composition. It looks interesting to me.

The core of Viscaria should be Kiri(桐) even though Butterfly USA lists it as Balsa

He talks about the Xiom Omni Hayabusa ZX, manufactured in Korea, I guess. ZX stands for "Zephylium Carbon". Zephylium is a rather new artificial fiber.

Does anyone know what wood is used for the core of the Butterfly Matsushita Pro Special?

Edit: here's a good picture I found showing it from the side. That might help with identifying it.
