As we now have a review proforma for most of our rubbers, I wonder if we need one for blades as well? If so, would anyone like to have a go at making a start at it? Cheers!

1. The Reviewer:
A little about your level and style, and rubber used to test the blade

2.First impressions:
Are there any edges? What's the overall quality of the blade? Has it got a very thin/thick handle?
Other unusual features? How many layers? Any synthetic fibre?

3.Speed:
-Speed on slow strokes
-Speed on power loops/smashes
-*additions???*

4. Hard or soft blade?; Touch feel (soft/hard); Is it springy,...?

5. Control:
-Control on slow strokes
-Control on power loops/smashes
-Control in short-short game; service and service receive
-*anything else?*

6. Reference:
What was your previous setup? Which rubbers did you use for testing the blade?
Comparison to your previous blade.

7.Other comments

This should be OK, if there are any additions, please post them here. I think a review proforma is quite useful and why shouldn't we have one here when there's on in the rubber section?

I'm glad of being able to help. I could adapt most of the things from the rubber proforma, so it was not such a big problem.

I added stiff and flexible under 4. Any other suggestions?

Well, this is just my personal opinion and style, but I usually put the manufacturer 'marketing/package write-up' at first, then put my final impressions and what the item is in two sentences at the last part of the review.
