I recently bought a new Feruku blade and thought it might be useful to share my impressions. First, here are the stats:
Class: OFF+ Speed: 98 Control: 54 Weight: 82 Thickness: 6.5

It is a hardwood blade, with three plies of wood and two of kevlar. Construction is high quality, not likely to splinter, and it is well-balanced. I have a straight handle. I'm using Sriver (forehand) and Yasaka Mark V (backhand).

There has been some concern over the speed of this blade compromising control. I will say, it take a bit of getting used to. It is the fastest bat I have played with. The ball shoots off the blade, though the spin (more a function of the rubber anyway) is predictable. I definitely would not recommend speed glue (or rubber that replicates speed glue). Once you get accustomed to the effect, control becomes easier to manage. It does very well close to the table (chop and slice), excellent from behind the table, least effective at mid-range. The sweet-spot is small, but once you find it, the speed becomes more predictable. Not for beginners, but once you commit to the blade (and you have to make that commitment) I think it can elevate your game.

axel have you taken the blade to tourneys yet? If so where, and what events? I have gone to tourneys in Austin, and Fort Worth in the last month and just wondering if I would have seen you there. I have also been quite curious of the Feruku blade. It looks like it would be a fun one.

It's good for blocking with OX LP.
