I agree! It plays fairly well. I used to tune the crap out of the sponge to get a good effect with national. This sponge is exactly like it so it's hard and you will not hear the "crack" of the tuning effect unless you are hitting hard or flat. I will be using this as my main rubber barring that the monster Apollo sheet I have on the way in is too uncontrollable. Which I'm betting it is. No need for an in depth review from me... I feel it plays exactly like Globe 999 National tuned ![]() On a personal note... No more illegal tuning for me! Yes!!!! |

haggisv just wondering how you glued yours? I used one layer of free chack on the blade and nothing on the rubber. It has that adhesive layer on the sponge but it seems a bit weak... are you supposed to use glue with this type of sponge? |

I used a single thin layer of rubber cement on the sponge, and a normal layer on the blade. I don't think it matters much how you glue this rubber. |

Hi, I've bought this rubber (999 lsz factory tuned) and sadly the tuned effect worn off in 3 weeks... I've put a brand new one sheet this week and of course it's a lot better... hope that this time it will last more than 3 weeks but i am not very optimist to be honest. Did you see the same thing about the tuning and are you still using this rubber? Is there a new alternative? Thanks |
