Those are really well done.

The testing group was the most interesting of the lot. Interesting conclusions they draw. It really does depend on technique...

nice video, good comparison. my teammate is using h3 commercial black on his backhand and h3 neo commercial red on his forehand. he likes both rubbers, he thinks they play pretty much the same with some minor differences.

I thought the video was excellent, and it does confirm some of my own perceptions about the difference between the rubbers. I'd love to see more videos like that, but I'm sure it's a huge job to put something together like that.

I dread to think how long it would take me to do something like that :envy:

I think to produce something like that one would have to be commited (or is that should be committed :))

I've only had chance to see the first video, look forward to waching the others.

Many thanks for this very pro and technic approach for these DHS best sellers.
Thanks again.

Great technical videos. Earlier on, I had an opportunity to watch video of this sort in. The video initial scene showed the ball was played( loop/serve/push/hit/spin) from the table side. Then, in slow motion, the camera turned slowly to the receiver side where you may watch the effect of impact of rubber i.e the lateral curving motion of the ball in the air, the height above the table, the swinging intensity of the ball to the side etc. Marvelous to watch.

This should be done with every rubber in the world, compared to a "standard" rubber in a "standard" blade.
Then we could stop with the companies lies about their products!

I agree and I'd love to do that or see it done by someone else. Cars judge speed in either mph or kmh and there are standard economy measures but with there being so many different types of rubber - inverted tacky, inverted mechanical grip, short pips, medium pips, LP's, anti, different sponges and sponge thickness, so many different types of blades and different types of styles of play, which would you chose as the "standard blade" and "standard rubber" and how would you decide?

I'm sure some of the manufacturers would volunteer for their equipment being the standard...

i agree though, whatever standard was used, it would provide an excellent reference...

Very well done! I wonder if these guys have any good ideas for testing spin reversal.

A project started months ago but way way off completion is comparing a sheet of butterfly super anti, 911, 563, 802-1 and maxspin (giant dragon) on a TSP Reflex all round blade and seeing how they react to different types of spin, taking in to account where the ball makes contact with the blade, how soon off the bounce, changes in bat angle, movement of the blade in different different directions at contact etc using high speed footage. However this will take many months to do and there are problems with consistency of feeding the ball on to the bat to duplicate the amount of spin and speed and placement of the ball so only general conclusions and comparisons can be made not specific measures. Add lighting problems with high speed footage and the whole spin thing is a problem to do.

In the second video here there is an attempt to compare H3 and the H3 Neo's reaction to incoming spin - similar to measuring spin reversal - but it was difficult using side spin to get consistent feeds from the robot and too dark in the hall to use high speed filming effectively to film the results so at this time it wasn't pursued further.
