played for 3 hours with new black 1.8mm Desto f3.

the f3 is the slowest in the Desto range being the softest sponge.f2 being next slowest,f1 the fastest.

i lift the ball steep on b/h so was looking for a high dwell time, light rubber to flick/loop with.

had a quick half hour hit with it a week ago and decided to buy one.

this rubber in 1.8mm is amazingly light,it's best quality by far.

i measured weight compared to my 1.2mm Donic Quattro and scales say they are same weight.

anyway, this rubber has no stickiness like Chinese rubbers but has very high grip all the same.

the very soft sponge adds to dwell time producing a very high arc trajectory.

similiar arc to Tenergy or Barracuda but half the weight with equal spin.

i was using on my favourite Lkt 368 blade and found speed was as fast as Tenergy 1.7mm.

particularly liked the feel of this rubber, dwell time of this rubber was as good as any rubber i've tried before.

good for loopers with slim forearms,Tenergy is way too heavy for me.

This is by far the softest rubber I ever tried, but a long margin. For me it was unplayable. But some people may like it. At 1.8 mm it will bottom out easily I suspect. I used it in max.

for me this rubber did not bottom out at all, however friend used it and did say on certain shots ball was penetrating through to the blade.

if you brush the ball it certainly won't,if you hit flatter it will.

strange i did not notice this sponge was particularly soft, although on first hit i did.

feel i have found a point a game using this rubber, playing comp on Monday night against stronger player, will see how it performs, may just had a good night with it first up.

i also tried the Desto f2, which has is a little firmer sponge than the f3.

i tried the Desto f2 max sponge on a off/minus carbon blade, the trajectory was a little lower than the f3 with my wooden blade but still quite high.

it still lifted balls easily albeit lower over net.

both bat combo's i found played fast and spinny.

also the Desto f3 i found to be poor at serving side/topspin serves, they just got hit,but i found i was serving my basic underspin serve much tighter than normal with maybe more underspin.

this rubber is best suited to someone who needs lots of grip for lifting ball steeply,if you hit a medium flat topspin then no benefit.
