So, I've been using Chinese rubbers ever since I got my first "real" racket. But I think I need to at least try some Euro/Japanese stuff. My main reason for Chinese was the price. So are there any GOOD soft rubbers out for 15-20 USD?

Actually, from what I've just read on the internet, maybe I'll try the Dawei Inspirit. But I can't find anyone selling it!!!!!!!

Giant Dragon Allround sounds similar to what you describe. I haven't tried it yet, but it has piqued my interest.

Try some of the gambler rubbers... they are very good value. and some are quite fast and lively... they do not feel like most other Chinese rubbers at all.

Yasaka Original or Original XHG, both retail under $20 USD.

Dawei Saviga, look at Ebay. Seriously underrated rubber in my eyes.

I believe the Saviga was discontinued by Dawei years ago... not sure if they're started making it again....you never know with Dawei.

Thanks ILP. I'll look there. And I don't know about gambler...don't they have serious durability issues? With a low budget, that wouldn't be so good. I think I'll try the Inspirit. (And cstt, I've heard the saviga is good....might look into that too)

Saviga can't be found easily. I think iits discontinued...

Outlaw is still not very durable but it'll last half a year if you don't bump the table or anything rough with it.

Palio Macro Era fits all the above mentioned demands. You can even choose the sponge hardness

Dandoy has some stiga rubbers on special:

Neos: $18

Innova Premium: $18

Magna: $20

Carbo: $19.50

Carbo Sound: $19.50

Mendo MP: $17

Neos SynergyTech: $18

Of the above, I would personally go with carbo or carbo sound.

I hope that I have helped!

PME goes over the $15-20 budget; variants of the CJ8000 topsheet would be worth a look though

With carbo & carbo sound from dandoy, you get a $40 rubber for $20 (while the sale is on)
