Hello guys. I stopped playing table tennis for nine months and when I wanted to buy a new Submarine rubber, I was told that Giant Dragon broke. I use to play with 1,5mm black rubber and I play classical defense with a Butterfly Defence Alpha. I have two blades, so I don't need to change the blade soon, but I need to replace the submarine. What do you think I should try? I like chopping heavily, near and far from table, and I usually attack looping withe effect instead of a flat top-spin.

Greetings

I tried both several years ago. C2 had a hard sponge in comparison with C. I disliked that. I'd prefer to use another rubber instead of Tackiness Chop.

I friend of mine told me about Spinlord Marder.

Greetings

Marder is excellent for chopping. If you want more speed, then, Marder 2 is better but the sponge goes from soft to medium soft according to the manufacturer; circa 40°/43°.

At the time Telnoy was playing with Marder 2 on 2.0.The thinnest sponge is 1.5 ; however, regular Marder comes in 1.0 and 1.2 if you need thinner sponges .

Hi,
Can you please tell us where did you find that info? It will be really bad info as GD is making decent rubbers (and blades) on a budget. I'm not sure if this is true since the GD long pips are very popular (especially GD Talon).

BTW a few months ago I bought a red submarine 1.5 from: http://tt-store.eu/giant-dragon-submarine but as You can see the red 1.5 is not available anymore.

Thanks.
