I'm interested to hear of anyone on here that has played with Nittaku Fastarc C-1.

I've just put a sheet of it on my blade so I'll find out tonight when I train, but I can't find any reviews of it online.

After training yesterday with one of my teammates, they mentioned that I could probably do with a forehand rubber that has better control and a soft sponge (due to the way I hit the ball). I currently use Tenergy 05 FX which is pretty good, but it is still quite a quick rubber.

Anyway, I'll give the C-1 a go, but in the meantime, I thought it would be worth posting a thread about it for people to respond with any thoughts / views on it. I will post my own thoughts back here once I've played with it tonight :)

Chris,

A short thread at viewtopic.php?f=9&t=22912&hilit=fastarc gives some translation of the supplier site.

You play fairly thin sponges (1.7/1.8/1.9) yes? If so I've some Rakza 7 and rakza 7 soft you could glue on next time we play to see if you like them. Might fit the bill.

Thanks Keith!

Yes I do play with soft thin sponge. My Tenergy 05 FX is 1.7mm and the C-1 I've just put on it 1.5mm.

I did try 05 FX in 1.9mm but it was too fast. Would be interested to see what the Rakza 7 soft is like!

Cheers :)

I've some 1. 8 standard (used but ok to test) that you're welcome to or some 1. 8 soft that I am using but don't mind taking off my (spare) bat for a session while we practice. I'm really liking rakza 7 at the moment, it is on both my main bats.

The other rubber I have played that may suit you is xiom yanus, soft with big spin and decent speed. Quite low throw. Have you tried it?

No I haven't tried the Xiom.

I tried the C-1 in practice tonight and it felt all wrong. Maybe I've been using Tenergy for too long, but the C-1 had a mushy feel, much harder to generate speed and I wasn't getting anywhere near the spin I get with my Tenergy. When I opened rallies up I found it harder to generate power and when I spun the ball, I wasn't getting the kick I normally get.

It was worth a go but it doesn't work for me unfortunately.
