Interesting video. Most review videos feature thin, young men counterlooping at a distance - loop porn, I suppose you could call it.. (or ping porn.. ).. This one? Well, the rubber is supposed to play like short pips, so it's mainly about blocking with the occasional backhand topspin drive. I suppose you'd expect this from a channel called "Geblock".. I managed to catch what was said in the beginning (about the rubber playing like short pips - KN = kurz noppen) but my German is too rudimentary to catch most of the rest. Maybe someone can sum up the conclusions.

Also not sure why they chose thin sponge (1.8mm). Or what the point of this rubber is. If you want short pips, why not buy short pips?

(Some of the Indonesians here might want to explain "Goblock" Or maybe not... )

Incidentally, Google Translate says "Goriki" means "Five Forces" while "Kaisoku" means "Speedy". I thought it had something to do with gorillas..

Would this be good for someone who is mainly driving and smashing with the backhand? I occationally do short loops and relatively open-angled open-ups. Sometimes I don't find that I get enough speed on my bh drives. I Guess that I'm a slightly backhand dominant player. Partners often tells me that my backhand is significantly better than my forehand, which I agree with. And I do get a lot of winners with it.
I'm not looking for a short-pips rubber. Have tried those without any dedication to practice using them, since I'm afraid of ruining my backhand.
Right now I play with fx-s on backhand. And sometimes I feel like lacking power. It's a bit softer than what I prefer. The ball slips of the surface a bit too much as well.

On Nittaku's website it's advised to use it on an all-wood blade with good dwell time. I use bt777, so should fit fine.

Reading about this rubber again, it seems to me that it would suit someone playing with a style like Fukuoka-san:

Note she uses 1.9mm sponge on the backhand, too (though I think she uses the new Tenergy 19).

What kind of blade would suit best for this rubber? Hard or soft? Flexible or stiff?
