Victas is about to release a new series of rubbers, the VJ 07 series.
Although I expected this was going to be another ESN release using the new technology that some of other German brands are releassing, this series is actually made in Japan.

I have some samples of these new rubbers, looking for an experienced reviewer to test and compare, anyone interested? I figured rather than having individuals testing them (and spreading the love 8) ), it's probably more useful for a single individual to test and compare all 4, so we'll at least get a real good feel on how they compare.
So I'm looking for an experienced reviewer:
- test and compare the 4 rubbers
- comparison to other similar high performance rubbers would be useful
- write a review for the OOAK shop blog and this forum (and others if you want), with a link back to the OOAK shop.

The rubbers will be sent to you free of charge (anywhere), and you get to keep them when you're finished

I have 2 sets of 4, all in MAX thickness, so can offer this to 2 individuals.

Anyone interested post here or PM me.

Wow... finally something new from Victas! Would be all in if I could get a hold of a sample sheet.
I like how the names are now more aligned with the Tenergy series. Their V>15 naming is a mess... Stiff isn't actually the stiffest of all, etc.

Just a wild guess:
VJ>07 Regular = T05
VJ>07 Stiff = T05 Hard
VJ>07 Limber = T05 FX

Victas have the hardnesses as:

VJ>07 Limber - 40 (german standard)
VJ>07 Stiff - 45 (japan standard)
VJ>07 Regular - 42.5 (german standard)
VJC>07 Sticky Extra - 47.5 (german standard)

https://www.victas.com/ja_jp/products/r ... /07_series

Which is a bit strange...why have Stiff using a different hardness scale? Just an error on their site maybe?

Sticky Extra will have a Chinese Top sheet and Japanese sponge. Interesting if will be fast enough without boosting.. I've had most fun through the years with my Avalox Purot (w/ speed glue) and am always hoping for something similar to return~

Before you send them off - photograph, weigh and measure them. Kinda curious if they are sans headstamp with a notch like other test sheets, and if they're larger (Japanese/Evolution-sized) than the usual ESN size sheets.

I nominate iskandar.

Wonder if the latest and greatest will change his view about all rubbers being the same.

Oh, I can imagine iskandar's review! :)

"I glued the 4 rubbers under test on 2 of 108 Sanwei M8 blades that I own with Elmer's Rubber Cement. I couldn't tell the difference between them, all 4 play identically. Still waiting for a rubber so fast that I won't be able to handle it - even MX-P wasn't that fast."

Although I haven't posted for a while I'd certainly be interested in doing this - the idea of having a range of sponges for the same rubber test at the same time really appeals. Also, it seems might be comparible to rubbers such as Regalis, V15 and Karis all of which I liked. Currently I've used Evolution MX-P and FX-S for some while.

No worries of course if there are more suitable testers out there!

When done with them, unless there is a keeper I'd pass on to the local coaching schemes too for the kids (or another tester)

Wow, if I were more experienced I'd be all over this.

Looks like Victas' thin topsheet thick sponge rubbers. These will probably feel softer than expected, unless they've hardened the topsheet. Shame there is nothing harder than 47.5, unless that Japan 45 translates as being harder than german 47.5.
