I must say, I've never come across a rubber I thought was too slow for generating enough power when hitting. Maybe that's because I rarely get more than 5 feet from the table. Until I tried Ckylin, that is… that rubber is something else... Iskandar |

fmarek wrote: Orange package - Tornado. One of those underrated gems. This is my favourite soft rubber to be used on BH. First of all it is not too heavy - 47g cut. You can do wonders if you know how to use wrist. Tornado is by far faster than Corbor. It has dark orange sponge, I guess 2.0mm and tacky softish topsheet. Tackiness does not disappear so quickly comparing to Corbor. Well, I glued it in September, today is April, still tacky. (I wash it after every game) But also to be fair - not playing it too often. Back in September Tornado was too fast for me. Now, thanks to H3, I improved my game and Tornado speed is spot on. If you know the feel of Palio AK47 blue or Rakza 7, Tornado is better substitute. Well, your opinion does not have to be the same as mine, but speed wise and given the price diff it performs super well, not worse than Rakza7. Will I buy it again? Yes, I did. *Groan*… Now I'll have to try a sheet. I'm actually playing with Rakza 7 at the moment, too. Interestingly enough.. Eacheng does NOT carry Tornado any more. But the likes of XVT still have it. It's a sub-$10 rubber. Slightly cheaper than AK47. Iskandar |

The sponge is dar white colour. It feels harder, not porous. Topsheet is less tacky. Light smell of chemicals (glue?) but not too bad. Will glue it in coming days and update. |

From what I see - the new version of Tornado "V5" (in the silver packet) has a new topsheet - which is probably the same as the old topsheet except it's got a new "headstamp" with an ITTF number (60-006 - a palindrome! ). In the LARC there's only one listing for Tornado, so this is very likely the exact same topsheet otherwise. It's supposedly "for the 40+ ball", like all good "new" rubbers. The old version comes both in the old orange packet and in a new white one (which looks pretty much like the "Pro" Corbor packets). Iskandar |

Oh, I did not know that there is one more Tornado - in white package. That is enough to confuse anyone. |

According to at least one vendor, the orange and the white are the same thing, and they will ship you an orange one or a white one at random. Incidentally, the new silver packet Tornado V5 D40+ actually costs LESS than the older orange/white packet. Iskandar |

May I ask where did you buy the Tornado? I've been looking all over Aliexpress and I could find the 47 degrees one. I concur..it is a very good rubber for Fh in 47degrees. Spinny, medium hig throw and medium fast. |

I think he actually said 47 grams, not 47 degrees. 47 degrees would be ESN/European degrees, I don't think Reactor uses that scale. For this rubber, they seem to use "Medium Hard" or "Medium Soft", judging by what is written on the front of the packet. And I don't even know if you have a choice, although you might from one of the vendors, when buying the new silver packet Tornado. By the way: New Tornado (silver pack) Old Tornado (orange or white pack) Are they the same? They should be, since there's only one Tornado in the LARC - on the other hand the sponge might be different. They are both "cake sponge", but the old sponge is orange, the new is cream. Tempted to place an order today just to see what I get... Iskandar |

I'm pretty sure that says "Medium Hard" on the front. The first character is the same as the first character in "China" (i.e. "Middle Kingdom"). Using Google Translate: Attachment: Medium Hard.jpg [ 42.05 KiB | Viewed 1906 times ] The second character looks like the third character in the string. Hey, I was away playing that silver tornado ) (no) Yeah by 47g I meant weight. I like silver more because it is harder DHS 37 degree maybe and less springy. I have red rubber. It fits my FH very well. I did not have a chance to specify hardness or thickness. Cream sponge in silver package is not a cake, at least I dont see pores. On the orange sponge they are clearly visible. Silver tornado feels better than Corbor "Pro" as it plays somewhat closer to my main FH rubber - H3 commercial h39 unboosted. In fact I did not need to adjust anything, just put more power into shot. However I blame ALL+ blade for that. It was harder to play short touch game using orange one (its faster). It is easier to chop with Corbor Pro suggesting tornado V5 is harder rubber. Overall, I have no intention to remove it from my training blade. Does everything well. I won against Viscaria + T80 having tornado v5 FH on slow Yasaka Sweden Extra, while Corbor Pro on BH. I just put 2hrs on that blade so cannot tell how long the goodness going to last. All Corbors felt very good when new out of packet. Now if I was to choose setup from the list above: FH black V5, BH red tornado orange sponge (to get some speed for fun). The Thunder is hard rubber h40 and not tacky. I think my skills are not that good yet for 40 degrees. Once develop more powerful strokes then V5 can go to BH and Thunder to FH. |

Ah.. interesting. Looks like they're "re-organizing" Corbor as well. Old topsheet: New topsheet (with ITTF number): I think you get the new topsheet in the white "pro" packet. Iskandar |

CorborPro black and V5 red Attachment: 20190509_185918.jpg [ 671.51 KiB | Viewed 1836 times ] Yes they both have the same new triangle logo and ITTF number 005 and 006. Both tornados together Attachment: 20190509_192240.jpg [ 844.69 KiB | Viewed 1827 times ] V5 next to black H3 commercial. Ok pimples size is similar. That's why I liked V5. Yeah, that looks like the "Med. Hard" sponge. I just ordered a sheet of the old Orange Tornado, and asked for Med. Soft. Let's see what it's like.. I can compare it to my sheet of Rakza 7 (though that sheet's a little old by now and it's been boosted twice - might boost it a third time, since it's shrunk again). Iskandar |

If that what they call "med hard" then be ready. Mine was bottoming out when I was playing with strong opponents. Don't know if it is good thing or bad for you. If you in AU I can mail you orange sponge, black topsheet (still tacky), cut for shakehand, little used. For free. |
