729 is coming out with a lot of rubbers lately. But...if they can't be bothered to market or atleast describe the characteristic/intentions I wonder how much effort went into designing them.

Both of these are made in Japan and the Visnatura's sponge looks a lot like the Rozena.

Wow. Even I could read "Mountain Forest" (those being among the half dozen or so Chinese/Japanese characters I recognize..). One wonders is "Pando" is a typo for "Panda".. :lol: Wrong kind of leaves for a panda, though.

Looking at the LARC, there's also a new Battle III listed (27-016 - right after Pando - 27-014 and Visnatura - 27-015). Presto Speed and Spin are both listed, as are Bloom Power and Bloom Spin (while the other three Blooms are still not listed).

I suspect these are the first 729 rubbers not made in China. Does anyone know? This could be interesting. (Others in the past have had german or japanese sponge, but I assume still made in China. I think this is significant for quality control issues alone.

QC, piece of mind? Maybe. But at the same prices of other makers. I wonder what's the point?

If you see what they do to the rubber trees to get the rubber... it ain't for the squeamish... :lol:

By the way, there are other "Chinese" rubbers not made in China. Palio sells several ESN products, and so does DHS (the relatively new GoldArc 5 and 8..). Lots of German "Japanese" rubbers, too (see where the Rakzas come from), and, for that matter, even a few Japanese "German" ones (I'm pretty convinced the Evolution line is made in Japan).

IIRC 729 Highpoint is/was entirely ESN-made. You can still find it in some online shops - it’s possibly the cheapest tensor available in Australia at AUD24.95, or roughly USD17.50.

I tried a sheet of toppoint-i was not impressed-not sure if that is similar to highpoint. Hoping these new rubbers are better. If they are 40 USD then that may be OK, depending on how they play and if my preferred dealer carries them.

Doesn't that look painful??? Kinda like a crazy tattoo artist went to work with a knife... :lol: Imagine having to endure a new cut every day of your life.. and then when you're too old to produce they just cut you down for firewood. Right before this happens, for the last month or so they cut you double to bleed you as dry as they can, like they're doing here. What a life..

Do you speak Malayalam? :lol: (The only part I understood was "Low Frequensy".. :lol: )
