Best thing to do is ask them - does the number correspond with a scale used elsewhere, or is it a Durometer reading?

Iskandar

True. Tom at Zeropong is super friendly and helpful when I've called and asked questions before.

UPDATE: so Tom said the Oh Toro hardness scale is similar to Butterfly's, but not directly equivalent. Due to different cell structure, the Oh Toro compresses more (thus feels softer) than a Butterfly with the same hardness rating.

So I finally got sheets of Volt-M and Volt-T. In my unofficial finger pinch test, Volt-M is harder than Xiom Vega Europe (42.5deg) and softer than Vega Pro (47.5deg), so I can say it's around 45deg on ESN scale. Volt-T is a tiny bit harder than Vega Pro, so around 48-50 degrees.

Volt-T uncut: 62g cut: 45g
Volt-M uncut: 61g cut: 44g

Volt-M and Volt-T available on Zeropong website.

Testing max sponge Volt-T forehand and max sponge Volt-M backhand

Initial impression positive.
With my technique the black rubbers have more spin compared to red.
Short game needs to adjust to faster o-toro sponge.
Lighter than Burst/Thor's Hammer.

Plays well on my BBC blade.

After 6 months of use.

Highest quality Gambler products to date.
Great value.
I use plastic protectors to keep topsheet tacky.

Volt-T better than DHS Hurricane 3 Neo available in USA.

Good match for my current level of play.

Only 2 smaller clubs open in North Bay Area.
I used to play 5 hours a week.
Close to middle distance player.
Due to accident no play next 2 months.

How is the topsheet durability after 6 months?

Good in my opinion.
No chipping.
I believe frequent cleaning and less dust in playing venue more important.

Extended test of Volt-T rubbers.

Black Volt-T softer than Red Volt-T
Black Volt-T higher tack than Red Volt-T

Going to use new cover sheet on existing Red Volt-T.
See if that restores tack.

Not fit enough to consistently drive ball into sponge.
I'm using Victory Tune to soften sponge. Apply light coat every 3 weeks.

Top sheets starting to show wear.
New Gambler cover sheets (sticky) helped extend grip of the topsheets.

Sponge also wearing out.
Boosting less effective.

At my level great value.
I can deal with the hassle of boosting.

How long have you had these sheets???? Looking at the thread it looks like a couple of years. I really advise regular players to change inverted rubber once a year unless they have a very, very limited budget.

The Gambler Volt-T rubbers about 3 years old
COVID pandemic shutdown Northern California TT clubs.
Marin TT club in Sausalito only North Bay club to reopen last year.

I have one Blades by Charlie set up with Black Volt-T and Red Volt-M
Another Blades by Charlie is set up with Red Volt-T and Black Volt-M.
I alternate between the 2 paddles.
Use cover sheet and ziploc baggy to slow rubber oxidation.

Each paddle has about 1 year of use.
The topsheets worn out compared to other player's Hurricane 8 setup.

In my opinion my Volt sheets best quality to date from Gambler.
