Post subject:  Nittaku Sieger PK50 vs. Joola Golden Tango PS
So, are these two identical rubbers, or do they just remind of eachother?

Both sticky surface, high throw and a pink sponge. Made in Germany and 50 degrees hardness. Or is GTPS 47.5?

Has anyone else tried the Sieger PK50? I'd like to know how spinny the rubber is.

I play with this rubber in 1.8mm on the FH on the Re-Impact Chevalier.
I prefer it far above the Joola Tango I also played with.

The rubber is sticky but far less sticky than Battle II(or H3). The spin is high and control good. Spin is less than Battle II but is has a little more speed with not so active shots(plays more like a European rubber than Battle II). I play with it cause the weight is less than the Batlle II and it is easier to play with. When I'm 100% back from an injury I like the Battle II provincial more because it is more difficult for the opponent to return the ball.

I've used sieger in 1.4 up to 2.0.

To me, it is probably the spinniest rubber on the market! Now, now settle down!

Keeping in mind, people use different strokes and ways of engaging the sponge (a little or a lot)... with seiger, I get people stopping the game to come inspect what forehand rubber I use "woah, that's really a lot of spin! What is that!?"

I use a lot of brush action though, so the spin is higher than usual for players anyway.

I have to say... I am so impressed with Sieger PK50 as a backhand rubber.

I play with an oversize balsa blade, which others find very fast - to me, it is normal. With Rakza 7 Soft on the backhand, I was getting great spin looping chop, but it was fairly bouncy.

With the Sieger, I can generate even more spin, but with a shorter throw, and the short game and pushing is vastly better. Topspin to topspin rallies are also much more direct and deadly with the Sieger.

I wasn't really expecting this, I was just experimenting - but PK50 is a really, really good all round rubber.

(in addition, not related to above - I have switched to Hurricane 3 on the forehand. Very different game to what I used to play)

I have Nittaku PK50 in 1.8mm black. Extremely spinny.. in the right hands. In my hands it has unusably high throw angle and is perhaps the most spin-sensitive blocking rubber I've ever used. Hard pass.

Interesting - maybe the balsa blade makes a difference. I find the PK50 far easier to block with than Rakza 7 soft.

I find the H3 topsheet too hard to get slow spinny loops, but it sounds like the Sieger PK50 is perfect for this.

I find PK50 a very easy rubber to play with - it has very good grip, although not the ultimate spin of H3. It throws the ball further with less effort than H3, but not as far as a tensor. I normally don't like hardish sponges on the backhand, but this I find very dependable, and a lot less bouncy than Rakza 7 Soft. PK50 is very easy to spin up, on slow loops and flicks.

I need a lot less power to play a decent loop with PK50 than H3. My problem has always been though that I play too powerful/ uncontrolled a FH loop, so H3 suits my game on the FH.

I play the Golden Tango PS and absolutely love it! Really high throw. Yes on blocks you better have your blade angles right or they aren’t staying on the table. Brush loops have a nice arc and it looks like you miss the table from time to time on counter loops and the ball just dives down hard and kicks off the table quite hard too. Based on what I’m reading about PK 50 it sounds like a good description of GT PS. I think GT PS is also identical to one of the Donic Blue Grips. It wouldn’t shock me if there’s identical rubbers across all the brands coming out of esn factory.
