My seller contacted me of a new item, a 7$ item, I bought 1

It's 1.9mm and H35 it said, pretty soft.

I'll be testing it soonImageImageImage

EDIT : In the larc it seems to list as RITC 729 , The bars of the topsheet have exactly same patterns unlike other ones

Looks like a standard 729 rubber, just with a soft 35deg sponge.

Wow,

This rubber is not tacky at all

It is grippy and medium speed with a great spin.

And it's 54g a sheet and 40.6g cut!

Looks like the $5 729 OEM rubber that Zeropong used to sell. I think I got a different kind of sponge every time but quite a few samples played really well. My favorite was the classic orange sponge though, but there was also a soft white sponge that was ok.

What's in the LARC is the topsheet (or "topshit", as Igor likes to call it). It can be combined with any number of sponges of different hardness to make distinct retail items. Tackiness varies - some of the variation is, I think, manufacturing inconsistency, some of it is due to age and some might be deliberate. Some rubber (notably Kokutaku 868) comes in super tacky, regular tacky, slightly tacky and non-tacky varieties, and all of these use the same topsheet. It is my contention that, with most Chinese rubber, the tackiness is applied as the last stage of manufacturing, after the sandwich is glued together. That "protector film" that you find on tacky sheets of rubber? It's the carrier for the glue that adheres to the surface of the sheet (and gradually wears off, which is why the rubber gets less tacky with usage).

Except for, allegedly, double fish qi ji. I've also read once that 729 origin also didn't lose tack, but haven't used origin myself.

So original 729 isn't tacky? :( I've got a sheet of it at home on cross sponge, ready to try. I was looking for a traditional tacky topsheet.

Actually, I think there's two exceptions (that I know of..). One is the old "999" (from Globe and other companies). It remains tacky for a really long time, and if you store a bat with this rubber on it the "topshit" turns liquid after 3-4 years. Makes a real mess. I think it uses an older technology that relies on partial vulcanization. The other exception, I think, is 729 Bloom. I had a couple sheets, the tack remained for months despite the usual cleaning and wiping.

Would love to try a sheet frankly, as it sounds right up my alley (so long as its better than 729 Top Point) but can't find it anywhere - not even on 729's chinese website. (they might have re-named it - there's already too many "soft" named 729 rubbers on the market that pretty much play the same. (The OP description seemingly matches the description of 729 lightening pretty well I note)

Anybody got any more intel if this thing is publicly available, or was it just a market test / limited run / factory seconds / OEM custom-rubber-build type situation?

There certainly are a lot of market test/limited run/third party assembled/back door version/private label rubbers, especially made from 729 components. That "729 Super FX with the Large Pore Sponge" that Eacheng sells is one, I think. No retail packaging, no one else sells it, etc.
