Hi all.
I am not a very high level players ..... but playing for 30+ years.

I have played the last 15 years with DHS tacky rubbers.
Last years with the Skyline III when they came out. Never switched to the NEO .. they where to jumpy.

3 years ago I played a year with long pips on the BH. The skyline was suddenly felt way to slow as I had a different frame as well.
So I went to the Andro Rasanter R47. It felt good. After my year i quit because I don't have enough patience with the long pips. I want to attack ... my best game is my BH and opening/spinning to 'start' the game.
I bought a new frame "Andro Kanter FO OFF" because the other one was to slow.
I put the Rasanter R48 on the FH, and the DHS Skyline 3-60 Soft on the BH.
It works. Funny part is that the R48 feels much smoother and softer than the R47 ...... one number but what a difference.

It works great with the DHS rubber, BUT i need to buy a new one 2 or 3 times a year because they go out fast (I play in 2 competitions, so I play twice a week and the occasional tournament.
The Rasanter keeps good way more even though they cost is higher, I can easy play a year with them.

Now I wanted to test with a rasanter on my BH. My main BH play is start the opening with it, and fastblock the ball away, or just hit it hard.

I thought I try the Rasanter 42 on my backhand. When I went to my webshop I saw there is a new ransanter ... R45.
As the new 48 felt much smoother than the 47 maybe that one is for me? But when I read the review on you know where they say it is very jumpy. So short game is hard as the rubber catapults the ball.

Who has played with R42 and the new R45 and can tell me if it's tru? The second review would make me happy :D.
Quote:
Like R48 very grippy but as it is softer easyer to play with and smash close to table. It feels similar to Nittaku C1 but R45 is lighter and feels a litle bit softer.

I have no idea about the c1 but i love the softer feel part.

R45 came out at the same time as R42. You can always get less bounce by going for the 2.0mm sponge,

I use R42 2.0mm on my FH it should be plenty fast enough for your BH and is more medium than soft in feel. TT daily have a good video review on YouTube.

Just remember your bat will be a lot heavier.

I thought the R45 is 'new' with new technology like R48 and R53.
In my webshop it's new and more expensive :).

I was more thinking at 1.7 :). I have R48 on FH in 2.0.

Are you sure about this? Reviews for the R42 run back to 2017. R45 few months ago.
Even on TTD they 'introduce' on 03/2021
