Just recieved stiga Boost TS.

As i'm injured my review is going to come in spits and spurts.. nut to start:

fresh out of the packet, it has a lovely soft sponge and a shiny, grippy topsheet. when trying to run the ball along, any sort of pressure will grip the ball significantly.

bounce test on my 1ply hinoki once i glued it down with water glue - surprisingly high and continual.

initial impressions - counterhitting was effortless. blocking back loops at mid height without a problem.
"spinning up" is a tad more difficult, the angle has to be adjusted more than one would for Tenergy 05, for example. however the spin off this soft rubber is phenomenal.

stepping back from the table - started looping the ball and this is where it shone - the control and touch from a fast loop is phenomenal. you aim for the white line - you WILL hit the white line. not as fast as Tenergy 05 OR tenergy 64, but faster than other soft rubbers such as Joola Tango..

more to come...

Sounds awesome. How does it compare to the Energy Xtra? Is it softer? More spin/speed etc.?

i'd rate it personally as a bit harder than energy xtra. i find energy xtra is great for my bh, but doesn't have the catapault i need on my forehand.

it's got a bit more spring and a bit more speed. spin wise, probably a bit less. a bit more difficult to defend on.

that is - so far. :P

Hi I have used Boost TC in max sponge before on Optimum Sync and also Tube Carbo. All was good away from the table. However trying to loop up from slow backspin pushes of opponents was a struggle and more often than not go into the net. Does this do the same with the Boost TS?

i personally (as i found last night) had less trouble with chop than i did ith flat balls with TS.

my blade probably helps, i've got a very responsive blade. but any sort of chop i actually went for a bit too much on - and sent off the end of the table sometimes :O
