Okay. The plastic ball has really killed my lp game. It just became tiresome.
I tried sponge lp and sp but it didn’t feel right. but found hard bat to be challenging and fun.
The forehand transition hasn’t been bad.
The rough part is transitioning the back hand.
Sometimes, I can hit real winners and others it goes long or into the net.
When I switched to lp many years ago the site helped me learn proper strokes.

I’m having trouble finding that type of information here.
I have dr. Evil on my s&t fire starter.
Sometimes I can hit through backspin. Sometimes I can’t.
Topspin to topspin can be real tricky for me.
Not sure what’s best for side spin.

Been pushing backspin. That’s easy.

But everything else I need some help.

Thanks!!!

I sometimes play hardbat, just for fun. I use Gambler Peacekeeper OX at times and I notice that all the strokes need to be made with much more effort, and the upward brushing motion increases in proportion to the forward motion, compared to what might suffice with inverted sponge rubbers which naturally lift the ball with less effort.

Since the forehand involves a much bigger action, that upward motion is easier to get, hence the easier transition on the forehand. On the backhand I had to train myself to go for bigger or more pronounced motion to provide enough topspin and lift. This is just my experience.
