Get real. This "negative and alarmist stuff" is the media's perception of our sport. I didn't write it. If there were any articles talking about how wonderful Chinese domination is I would post it.

tabletennista.com is "the media"? I appreciate that site for its attempts to summarize/translate news from all over the world, but you're giving it too much credit. And again, you can't on the one hand trash Ian Marshall for his "propagandistic" feel-good articles and on the other hand promote such a sloppy and unreliable piece, which contains nothing new at all.

I can't keep track of all your postings, but did you open a separate thread for the NY Times articles that appeared during the Olympics (one on Chinese TT, one on Ariel Hsing & Co)? Or for the recent essays in the Huffington Post? Did you point out how well-attended the TT competition in London was? that there was TT every day on American TV with expert commentary, even when only the Chinese were left?

What's wrong with complimenting Sharara on doing a good job on organizing the Olympics? The guy is ruining the sport with his rule changes and bad leadership, but that doesn't mean he's a bad organizer.

Sharara didn't organize the Olympics, he delegates those tasks to his competition managers (the main guy was to the left of Bill Gates). Adham's only job and ambition is to ruin the sport, so be frank with him ;)

Tabletennista.com is new media and generally respected, but again I didn't write the story and I don't necessarily agree with it. I posted it for discussion. If it reflects badly on Tabletennista, it's not my problem. But they're not the only ones doing shoddy journalism, as we saw with the TIME Magazine piece. Also you can't really compare Tabletennista, which is an independent entity repackaging news from other sources, to Ian Marshall who is an ITTF employee and PR man posing as a journalist.

I didn't see any articles on TT attendance or TT television coverage in America. I post what I find interesting. Please remember that this section isn't my blog. Others are encouraged to post interesting table tennis-related stories they come across, as well.

Sharara gets credit for organizing the Olympics, just like Obama gets credit for running the country.

Not really trying to pick on Ian Marshall, but his recent article is almost incoherent:

(I seriously think someone should edit this editor's piece before publishing it...)
