The nerdy, semi-retarded Forrest Gump table tennis stereotype is back in the media. Well, I guess "stupid is as stupid does."

The article reads very well and is very positive about table tennis and the Austin Club. Good job, Austin Table Tennis Club!

I went to ATTC several times right at the time they were almost finished building their club. Great place and a whole variety of players. That club is one of the few who create chances for and sustain social and basement players to keep them interested and involved in the sport.

I wish we had a great club like that in my area.

It's just unfortunate that the author of this article (just like the authors of two other table tennis articles within a 24-hour period) couldn't write an article about our great sport on its own merits without having to trot out the tired, old Forrest Gump cliché.
