Is this how you break pips?

Maybe, but it's certainly something that brekas the camera. Sometimes it goes into slomo.

I thought was a great pic of the original Grubba Carbon handle. There have been three versions of the Grubba Carbon. The first Grubba Carbon had a red handle with no bottom plate.

The second version had this handle with the old black metal Butterfly bottom plate.

The third version has a similar handle and a plastic bottom plate w/new Butterfly logo. (I have two of these.) The handle feels pretty good for a flared handle. I'd much rather have the straight handle, but when these were available the U.S. distributor didn't carry the straight handle version.

Maybe someday a straight red handle version will show up on ebay. That would be sweet.

BTW, the Grubba Carbon is very good for long pips.

This is pretty much my standard shot.

MNNB,I find the following video paramount . Footwork is explained brilliantly. Many mistakes by many blockers are caused because their footwork is poor, then, the mistake from the pips is obvious, not because of the pimples but because of the wrong foortwork .

The subtitles in English are poor, however, she explains the technique briliantly . A must see for blockers and to remind ourselves how footwork is first before any technique with LP.

I hope this video can help other blockers here, who are unaware of how crucial footwork is .

Do you have this shot in your arsenal?

The idea is nice but the ball flies off too high,...and I don't think it works with super fast no spin balls....I think the lp strokes are discovered already,.... the creativity now lies on the strategy, the twiddling,....pivoting to attack with the fh,.... low short blocks as much as possible and that's it,... as the lp performance won't do wonders with the current regulations ,... and the new ball,.... all is designed so lp players desist from using the pips at the table,....

Meanwhile, the double inverted have free rein to boost and not get caught,.... so they can add a lot of spin anyway despite the new ball and can lift any backspin easily,....

then,... it is us, the lp users ,the ones who are famous for treating the rubbers ..... lo and behold !!!
