i'm in a bit of situation...
got me an st jsh, but it has the signature of the man himself, so that one is out of the question...

then i got an fl one but it's so beautiful in it's new condition so didn't have the heart to do it...

then some time later i determined to get a used one to experiment... so i waited and waited... finally got one... from the seller photos it's a good candidate for the butcher's job... when it arrived though, it's a very good a bit older blade and i still didn't have the heart to do it... sheeeessshhh....

i recommend cutting one down mate.i have cut my grubba pro down and im playing the best that i have ever played.the big head was cumbersome as i like to chop and also like close to the table attack.the pro also has some flex.
cut ya 4th one down ;)

you are much too stiff...and you are like a pushing the ball...

bend the knees a bit and turn a bit sideways with your left foot in front...and then make a more decisive impart on the ball...like throwing the racket into the opponent...in a whip like motion...or imagine throwing flat rocks over the lake to make it bounce...dont be afraid to miss...it will eventually all go on the table...

Yosh!!!!! will heed your advice on this one, I do the shadow training alot, but when it comes to the real thing i normally do it like in compact motion rather than
what my shadow training is, I'm very insecure on landing the ball in, more of a secure player , i find that i only take chances when really away from table like hard rallies , or when the ball goes high up.

thanks for the advice againnnn

dont worry,

i had a similar fh 15 years ago...

because of my operation (if u are interested details are in my blog) i had to practice a lot hitting it with more power...in the beginning everything went all over the place but after a while brain instinctively knew what to adjust for a ball to go on the table...
hit it as hard as you can, loosen the arm...if your equipment is too fast change it for slower...you need to have the blade rubber combo with which you can hit as hardest as you can do and land it on the table...if the equipment is too fast than you are afraid to hit it hard and than you are stiffening the moves...in the beginning everything will be maybe too slow so you will need to work harder...and improve your stroke...i am playing with all+ blade and unboosted H3 and opponents rarely return my spins...

Criticism considering the video: Strange angle...
It seems that there's a starting and an ending position for the stroke, but I miss the return to the resting position afterwards. Pace is still quite slow, a real opponent would give you a quicker return if it would be in a match. You seem to fear a hard-hit on the ball, but you need to just do it! Then try to give a hit on the ball at contact (the kung-fu extra tock). Concentrate on thinking that you're in a match situation, do not focus on the stroke itself primarily.

Nice start, a pretty good foundation. Two things I picked up is that your elbow appears locked, it doesn't straighten before and bend during the stroke. You seem to rock you shoulders and drop your right shoulder rather than rotate. Common mistake that I'm guilty of, too much rocking not enough rotating.

Good work though.

Ahhh sound advice, i always shadow training with hip rotation, somehow when i hit the ball it goes rocking motion instead?
do u think i need to slower down the pace and start from scratch a gain?

On the slower equipment im considering going defensive after this due to tendency of chopping with bh and bh flicks kinda ruin my wrist alot ( little girl's wrist syndrome)
Will see how next year goes, been trying a lot sort of blades from friends
and among my fav is a petr korbel with sriver and acuda s1 solid feel on loops and block

I already acquired a JSH lately and probably will go that route instead will see how it goes later.

Its great that you are doing these sorts of drills - it will definitely pay off for you in time. Your game is still developing and you have a fair way to go. With this in mind why dont you not worry so much about equipment until you have a more established style? Then you will be in a position to choose what suits you best.
