Good battle there!

It seems like she doesn't understand a lot of the LP returns coming back at her... once she does, should beat you even quicker!

Many points she lost after pushing heavier backspin to your LP, and you would give it a quick bump that caused her to miss. Her serve strategy was a bit erratic as well. Appeared that several were yielding many points, but she kept experimenting with other varieties. It was just a practice match, so I never count them as anything concrete.

For your play, one obvious thing I noticed: you can often block back the first attack, and then she follows it up with another... that you will perform what I call the 'paddy cake' block. Just a simple paddle held in front of the ball, returning it passively and most times right into her power zone so she was able to do a put away. I would say work on adding some gusto to that shot, making it an active block and aim for the body/cross over if possible.

She has played vs LPs but not too much exposure. Her comments (I asked for feedback) at the end was that since last time we met it seems like I got better hitting with the LPs that she didn't feel I had much weakness there, I mixed it well and finished points with BH when needed. Aside from the service receive issues but that's more a me issue

She said she found it easier to attack the FH.

I think the paddy cake blocks you're talking about is me just about getting there (kinda lucky maybe lol). But I do need to work on my FH a lot, and countering more is 1 thing I should do for sure

Just tried the new bat. Donic Defplay Senso V3, Killer Pro EVO 2.0, Dtecs OX acid green.

Played matches for 2 hours. Mostly lower lvl players, 2 decent Div2 player. The rest low div2. I also played vs it for 5mins lol.

Weird experience. I will firstly admit I'm an idiot and should have stuck with Moristo SP just for comparison purposes as I can't tell exactly how much slower it is than NSD. But anyway here we are. The Dtecs definitely feels softer because of the blade. For stationary blocks at times it definitely drops it shorter on the slower balls. But on the faster ones it has the same rebound as NSD. Spin reversal is still good but slightly less than NSD, a give and take I guess. It chop blocks easier though, I think....need to test that on a stronger looper. The hitting feels strange, at times I didn't feel confident but then I could really hit some shots and surprised myself when they went on.

The FH was very weird, it's slow....and this is why I'm an idiot, because I don't know if its because of the pips or if the blade has a massive part to play (judging from the Dtecs not too different though). But the weirdest thing was that sometimes it felt way more sensitive to spin than the Moristo. Could it really be the 0.2 difference in sponge, who knows.

I'll play with it for a while though just because why not

Def play can still pack a punch when looping. With pips/smashing, it will feel pretty flimsy. Having said that, unless you are using that shot a large % of points... I think better to suit the dominant side/technique.

I think it was the pips tbh the killer Pro evo. Weird weird pips for FH lol. Definitely made a mistake being influenced by the sale.

I am thinking of putting inverted on the FH for that blade I dunno, G1 or Mark V HPS. Mainly just to continue playing with the blade. I don't have a spare Moristo to put on there

I'll break the thing if i try that lol. What's wrong with the headsize though I've never messed with any equipment like that before. I don't mind overside head. The NSD is massive! But I'm ok with it tbh

Mark V or Mark V HPS :?: :^)

Killer is not an easy rubber to master and as we have discussed any short pip works better on an off- blade .

Forget about the hype.I would stick with Mark V .

Everything has already been discovered.A nice LP on the BH and a good inverted rubber on the FH.

If you improve your FH,your level will go up a lot.

Cheers for this!
Seen this guy before, really nice to watch, not enough match footage of him tbh. Nice find though this vid is new, his opponent looks really good those loops looked difficult but his glanti kept the blocks on the table!

Vid is probably heavily edited however. Would be interesting to see them play a proper match to see how the glanti handles his proper game and loops

I don't know how he plays the coach... but I know the player with anti (not on a personal level, just from tournaments etc.). He plays a pretty solid 2100+ usatt rating. Dipping into the 2200s at times. So to reach that level you need some ability to adapt against different styles. Having said that, sometimes he loses vs lower rated players and sometimes he upsets higher rated... same story with anti/lp players. The average is still a similar level.
