If you could prototype a shakehand OFF blade that is closer in shape to a jpen that we can discuss the dimensions together, I would be really excited to test it!

It is possible, but it will take time. 2-3 months probably.
Before pandemic started I moved to new country (Switzerland) and here I do not have the tools to finish a blade. Here I have only veneer and a press to make the ply.
But we can discuss about that, as a start.[/quote]

Cool, I'm in Switzerland too. Which city?

8) 8) :rofl: :rofl:
6.6mm, 84-87 gramms, 1350-1400 Hz, Clipper style blades.
But they have the center layer not from ayous and are glued with a softglue to have some flex and a bit less speed. Also the handles will be glued with a flexible glue to help them flex.
They were designed with spin and duell in mind.

Soft glue? Flex Spin? Dwell?

If there is a thumbs down button, I would press it!

Haha

They looks very professional! :clap: :clap: :clap:

Do you seal/varnish your blades?

Have you thought about adding some graphics to them? I don't know what sort of machine you need to do this, but I'm curious.

They really look professional , with quality.Personally , I like blades with zero graphics on them.

Addy sounds like a very competent manufacturer.We must congratulate any custom made blade workers :clap:

Some of them are varnished/sealed, some are not.
For example the first batch of 4 (the "defensive" ones that are combi, with balsa core, dedicated for pips) have the limba topsheet sealed, but the ayous not sealed. But they can be fully sealed on request.

I experimented with a few ways of varnishing, but this is still experiment-in-progress. I am still searching for something that hardens fast enough but not very fast, make wood fiber look more vivid and never yellow (and keep the veneer immune to UV).

haggisv wrote:

I even made some tests with various techniques trying to transfer prints from a paper to the veneer, but I was not happy with any until now. The results can be ok visually, but not so consistent from one print to the other.
Next on my try-list are:
- try to print directly on the blade using an inkjet printer;
- laser engraving (like Andro/Nittaku/SoulSpin are doing);

Addy sounds like a very competent manufacturer. We must congratulate any custom made blade workers :clap:

Thanks CharmanderDefender!
I think we spoke in the past via some PMs and 1 model was developed with our discussion in mind.

Somehow I am with you regarding graphics. They will be totally hidden once you apply rubbers and they are cool only before adding rubbers. Or if you collect blades.

That is a very good question!
I still needed a balcony to cut the blades and handles to shape.
