Like the Original Mk2, this is an evolution of my first build.
But I wanted something that uses carbon, not fiberglass. The construction is an inner-carbon because I wanted to keep the wooden feeling alive, but still get a speed benefit from the carbon layer. Also, the catapult feel of the balsa wood present in the Original, is still present in the high gears.

Model name: Original Carbon
Structure: Mahogany - carbon - ayous - balsa(4mm) - ayous - carbon - Mahogany
Headsize: ~157x150
Tickness: ~6.7mm
Weight/Speed: 73g / 1636Hz

naive question: What does the frequency (hz) of each paddle mean about speed? And how are you measuring it?

The higher the frequency the faster the blade is.
But really fast is not all ways better. Because sometimes fast blades in combination with fast rubbers become uncomfortable uncontrollable.
Personally I prefer a medium fast blade with sticky easy controllable rubbers.
But as we have more than a billion people who play ping pong in the world it is up to everyone to judge.
I have bought a couple of blades from Adyy one or two I really like and the others I have sold.
