Me again, bothering the forum.
I am searching for some testers for 2 blades.

1st - is an asymetric (fast) defensive ALL+/OFF blade. It has 76 grams, ~7.5mm thickness with a headsize of 163x154mm.

2nd - is an ALL+ symetric blade, 66.4 grams, ~6.2mm and headsize 156x150.5mm. It has balsa core and an Koto outer. It feels stiff and somewhat slowish due to the balsa core. Has some lite vibrations, just enough to give some feedback and due to the litheness feels a bit hollow.

If anyone curious to test, we will do the following:
- I will ship the blade to the tester (I pay the shipping);
- tester will test for 2-4 weeks and write here a review with the goods and the bads;
- tester sends the blade back to me or to the next tester (tester pays the shipping);

#2 is just too pretty to cover with rubber... :lol: We were discussing allowing different colors of rubber - maybe they should also allow "transparent"...

Longtime, no builds ... but during this pandemic-social-distancing times I just got a crazy (or maybe stupid) ideas.

One of them is: how would it be if the Covid pandemic would have been worse and trade between continents would stop for a few years? How our blades would be built, manufacturers beeing limited only to the local woods? How an European blade would be made? Or a chinese? Or an american one? Or australian?

Hi Julian! Yes, you can be a tester. But you need to wait a little...

Hi Julian, I'm back to the forum. If still interested I can send you the blade.

Hi everybody,

After so many months I come back to the forum. This much time of weird times gave me time to build a batch of blades and handles.
Not that I was really-really bored, but I tried to use the extra free time for something fun but still a bit productive.

They are on-offs and also some blades that are batches of 3 or 4, both defensive, offensive and some combi's.
Once I will find some boxes and somebody that can craft some metal badges for them, they will be fore sale.

As soon as I will glue the handles I will come up with speeds, weights and some more pictures. So, if somebody is curious, keep close ...

Hi Ady, welcome back! Your work looks really neat and organized :) Reading again that was a light ALL blade which is probably a little slow for me. But have a look at this thread I started about the ideal blade shape:
viewtopic.php?f=9&t=38760

If you could prototype a shakehand OFF blade that is closer in shape to a jpen that we can discuss the dimensions together, I would be really excited to test it!

Thanks! This "organised" was more because I wanted to keep my apartment clean and dust free.

I had read it allready, some days ago. It's nice what Stiga created and your observations look like the next step after Cybershape.

It is possible, but it will take time. 2-3 months probably.
Before pandemic started I moved to new country (Switzerland) and here I do not have the tools to finish a blade. Here I have only veneer and a press to make the ply.
But we can discuss about that, as a start.

8) 8) :rofl: :rofl:
6.6mm, 84-87 gramms, 1350-1400 Hz, Clipper style blades.
But they have the center layer not from ayous and are glued with a softglue to have some flex and a bit less speed. Also the handles will be glued with a flexible glue to help them flex.
They were designed with spin and duell in mind.
