yuna question, but what advantage does having a grip have? I know the lefty defender at our club has one so he can feel the handle to give him more controll but what does a grip mean advantage wise?

this grip is primarily used when i wanna do a pendulum serve.
its easier to impart the side spins & do last minute fakie reverse side spin to confuse & deceive opponent.
ur hand speed gotto be quick tho or else u'll lose the concealment

the reverse side spin can be made real as well. so if the opponent returns it wrongly, u can POW driver him ! LOL

its very dynamic, the side spins can be a down-side or top-side spin too.
on the pendulum up flicks follow-thru can be a fake or real too.

my serves are 97% on the FH side. watch WLQ. i learn it by imitating him.

I'm sensing confusion - I think Yuna means he alters his actual grip (hand position) for service, whilst Skull means the grip tape on your handle, Yuna.

:D hahahaha..... i see what u mean now.

i use the tennis grip tape to increase the size of the handle for my big hands.
its also more comfortable & prevents slipping.
absorbs sweat & protects the handle too.

once its dirty, jus wrap a new one for a refreshed feeling !

Im trying the pendlum server atm, but I use the service grip aswell for a fast sidespin serve that with PH was deadly

but chears for the info about the bat grip Yuna, itmay be something for me to lok into if i have problems lol

Here are some in focus shots of some kitchen units and a kitchen floor. That blurry thing obscuring them is a Galaxy K-1 with a couple of sheets of Transcend SP attached.

do you cut the blade down because of the weight?

I cut it down because of weight issues in the past. I did try to keep my second T-4 a little larger but found my timing out
when I first practiced with it so I cut it down to the same shape as my other bats. I cut this one down in the same way
expecting it to be similar but this one is quite a bit lighter so now I wish I hadn't gone quite so far. I have another on the
way which I am going to leave larger and give it an extended go to try and get used to the different feel. I will still cut
the shoulders down but try to leave the end of the blade alone altogether.
