I HATE SLICKY BUSINESS
Uniformity of friction testing is needed both by players and umpires. We drew up an Uniform Testing Programme, herewith we encourage all Associations to join with evergrowning volunteer movement of I HATE SLICKY BUSINESS, the Italian initiative to boycott those indecent players using low-friction products.

I thought this issue was already discuused at

    https://ooakforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=69&t=38428&hilit=treated+pips

Anyway I have a question for you.
I may be wrong but from what I looked the ITTF technical leaflet T4 only defines pip parameters such as for friction but it does not say anything about friction for anti rubbers. Maybe there is another technical leaflet for anti rubbers ?

For example how does ITTF classify a rubber as anti as compared to spinny smooth rubber ? Do they just take the word of the manufacturer or do they they make any friction measurements ?

You're right, it only applies to pimple rubbers.

Even so, the minimum friction limit applies for the rubber to get approved, and minor wear or tear is actually allowed (just like it is for inverted rubbers), so I can't see any rules that state that it must be over the minimum friction limit for a particular event.

In the technical leaflets I also don't see any procedure or equipment to test for minimum friction limit, unless it's been updated recently.

So while I certainly support playing by the rules, I also think reasonable decisions need to be made at any event that support the spirit of the rules.

WALL-POSTER TO MAKE PEOPLE AWARE OF THE LOW FRICTION MATERIALS..

Reportedly over 30% senior players now using long pimples. Our Veteran players have regretfully omitted to establish effective friction tests during the past events under the excuse they didn't have a fully trained racket control personnel in place.
Instead, we created a strongly persuasive artwork on the intent to discourage our venerable seniors from using those indecent low-friction rubbers. You are welcome to directly download file free of charge.

    printable file .jpg quality.

My knowledge of Italian is perhaps very limited. As far as I can tell, the main issue which the Io gioco pulito group addresses is illegal treatment of rubber.

    About section:
    Quote:
Il fenomeno del trattamento delle gomme, illecito e antisportivo, è un grave attacco ai principi di lealtà sportiva
Such treatment may be for increasing (boosting) or decreasing rubber friction, elasticity, and other material properties.

Igorponger refers to this (not by linking, but he uses their logo) as representing an important initiative against the use of low friction products in general (be it treated, just old, or even fresh from the shelf), which it does not seem to be.

Igorponger also asks us to be a part of honest people.

Intentional misattribution and honesty are not compatible strategies.

Half of Igor's posts here are simply meant to provoke long pips players. Don't feed the troll.
