Just heard, that our Pavel Sirucek (131.) won over Jun Mizutani (10.) 4:2. I knew he was on a roll, he played brilliantly against our city in the play-offs, but this was unexpected. And after this, I read, that he also signed a new contract and will be playing here in the next season with Petr Korbel. Amazing news

Today Gionis will (probably) be defeated by Samsonov. But I am almost more curious what will happend when Kenta Matsudaira is facing Ma Lin again. Remember in Yokohama, when he almost blocked Ma Lin out of the competition    .

Pattantyus will face Gao Ning. Most Singaporiean are not that good agasint defence, or do I remember wrong? Anybody knows about Gao Ning? Anyway, I hope Pattantyus can win this one.

Last of the defenders we have Chen W facing He Zhi Wen. What a waste letting those two pips players face each other. Anyway, I cannot imagine Chen being patient enough to beat He. Jang Song Man (PRK) managed to win against He but that match took about two weeks to finnish  .

It seems that only people playing in french league are allowed to play on table 1 and 2 (where the cameras are).

One referee from Paris mentioned, that Wang Hao is playing with the plain old Sriver. I'm sure it's legal  Otherwise, it's mostly H3 and Teny on BH, as always.

Well, at least one male pip-player will make it to the third round...

Doesn't Gionis play in French league? Would be awesome to see that match live (at around 17.30). If Samsonov has a bad day and Gionis plays extremely well he has a chance...

Hard to believe... unless with one liter of booster :x

I'm also curious what good ol' fellow-countryman Jean-Michel Saive (nr. 113) will do against Gardos (nr. 34)...

And some great lady's matches today as well, Seo Hyowon against Li Jiao from Holland, Wu Yang against Wu Yiaduo, Bilenko against Fujii and last but not least Ding Ning against Hu Limei. Not so long ago, Hu Limei defeated Ding Ning to get a ticket to Paris...

Ding Ning (nr.1) vs HU Limei (defender) now on LIVE VIDEO (on top of this page)... could be an interesting match

Edit: Ding Ning won 4-0; Hu Limei didn't have a chance...

Here's the link: http://cdn.laola1.tv/ittf/iframe/player ... t1_DING_HU

Strange. Hu Limei (18 yr, was ranked around 250) won the two previous matches against Ding Ning at the Chinese trials to get a ticket for Paris (3-0 and 4-1). That was a big surprise for anyone.

The French female chopper Xian Yifang (nr. 52) is beaten by the Korean Park Seonghye (nr. 166) :(

So, 4 female choppers are still in the race for the best of 16 (that makes 25% )

- RI Myong Sun
- Wu Yang
- Tetyana Bilenko
- Seo Hyowon

Did I see it correctly that all male choppers are out after the round of 64? :n:

GREAT matches live, right now

RI Myong Sun is winning against Liu Jia (nr. 27), she's up 3-0

And BILENKO just came back after 0-2 against Feng (nr.4), now 2-2: Bilenko is playing GREAT, twiddling, attacking, chopping...

Wu Yang is also winning...

(now I REALLY have to go back to work  )

Tang Peng, short pips on backhand, playing now.
The commentator referred to Tang Peng's backhand as his "strong side". :-)

I adore Seo but Liu looks fab. Makes me want to play as a looper... almost.

Also Liu's looking good with the yellow top and the blonde streaks. Got a keen eye for that type of thing.
